Great location and amenities

Axis at Ansel offers a great location for Case students (about 15-20 minutes walking to Case Western main campus or just 10-15 minutes walking to Cleveland Clinic). It's also across the street from a Case bus stop for day time commutes and within range of Case Safe Ride in the evenings.

It's a brand new building with great staff and a relatively quiet neighbors. Management is responsive to any issues via email and provide nice touches throughout the year. These include: complementary coffee and tea area in the lobby, rotating seasonal/holiday decorations, a small gym, a small office space that can be used for studying, a locked mail room, evening security, and enclosed parking.

All other activities (COVID notwithstanding) are relatively close as well

Great find for a reasonable price

The apartment building is brand new - just opened in August of 2020. Because of the that all of amenities are updated and the building is very clean and up to date. There is a gated parking lot and the building is very secure. Management is kind and attentive. It’s location is ideal, close to Case, the hospitals, and a short drive to good food/restaurants. There is a small gym for residents and a stocked coffee/tea bar in the lobby. They are in the process of putting in a smoothie shop on the first floor as well.

Bit expensive but worth it

It is very close to the university. It has a gated parking lot without a roof top. The parking lot is outside and non-desginated. They have a security guard late at night. The building is built recently. The utilities such as the washing machine are new.

Great experience

Staff is very welcoming, mostly Case graduate students live here. Facility was brand new when I moved in, so everything is new. The space is nice, nice kitchen appliances, with spacious rooms and bathrooms. The gym is a perfect size with the necessities. There is a mail room and coffee in the lobby. Highly recommend.

Great Building, bad neighborhood

Up the street from the HEC, across the street from lot 14. But the neighborhood can be very frightening. Gunshots can be heard a few nights a week, every week, and some people can be seen shooting at trees from their backyards.

Axis at Ansel

I just moved here in August. It is a brand new building and it is so close the HEC. There is a shuttle that takes you from the parking lot to the front of the HEC if you don't feel like walking. The property manager is very nice and I have no complaints so far. Make sure to say Karam referenced you so I can get a Visa gift card :)

Awesome place to live.

Axis at Ansel had everything I was looking for when I was house hunting for the PA program. One of the largest qualities was location, having a 15 minute walk to classes. If you have a pet, this is the closest location you will find that will allow them. Amenities are awesome as well. Flat rate rent with everything included, washer/dryer in apt, 600+ sqft for my studio (twice as big as my previous studio), walls are all but soundproof in case you have noisy neighbors (or are a noisy neighbor). There is consistent security with gated entrances. Not once did I ever feel unsafe in my home. Maintenance is friendly, quick to respond, and experienced. Management is receptive as well, and they have an office in the lobby in case issues come up. This apartment was finished in august 2020, so it has no age related issues either.

I can't praise this apartment enough, and while the only drawback in the cost, I would definitely say it is worth every penny.

It's a good value

Very close to Case and Cleveland Clinic medical/dental campuses. About an 8 to 10 minute walk to the HEC. Management is great and always quick to respond. Packages are stored in the locked mail room so I don't have to stress about picking up any packages. Management sometimes calls or texts you if you have a high-value item delivered. There is a gym on the first floor, but it's not the best. A few treadmills and ellipticals, some free weights as well.

The building itself feels very secure, but once you step outside the area around the building doesn't subjectively feel as safe. But I wouldn't say it feels any less safe than living elsewhere in Cleveland, however.

Axis at Ansel Review

The actual unit is really nice, even though it’s a studio, it’s more than enough space for one person. This building was just recently finished construction in August of 2020, so everything is new. The management responds pretty quick. The WiFi is the best thing about this place, it can be included in rent for $50 a month, but each unit has their own WiFi and it is the fastest WiFi I’ve ever used. Downsides are that the location is not that great, it’s really close to the HEC, but you have to be mindful of you are walking in the area. Also, something that is minor but worth considering, they have no call system to buzz people in, so if someone is visiting, you’ll have to go down and open the door/parking gate yourself.
