Pretty great place to live
I’ve been living at Axis for about 5 months now and I’ve loved it. It’s really close to Case Western campus and Cleveland Clinic. It’s very clean and welcoming from this inside. I truly love living here. The only downside is the safety. The neighborhoods around as safe so it’s not advisable to go outside at night. I also noticed a couple of car breakins in the parking lot when I first moved in but now they have a security officer patrolling the lot during most nights. All in all it’s a great place to live at, very clean, and safe once you’re inside the building.

High end but bad neighborhood
High end apartments but cars do get broken in a couple of times a year.

Run. Don't walk.
My car was broken into on 4 occasions over the past 3 years. Building management is incredibly rude, and will take any excuse they can get to make your life harder. Recently they changed to a new parking tag for their lot and 2 weeks later towed every resident that had not stopped by the office to pick up the new parking tag.

Decent building, average management
Not great neighborhood. We've had several break-ins in the parking lot, people stealing cars when kia/Hyundai stuff was happening, smashing windows to steal stuff inside, etc. Some loitering issues with smoothie shop and bus stop right there. Has been increase in security at night in parking lot with patrol car. We've been unaffected by not leaving valuables out and parking in better lit parts of parking lot near cameras. Definitely not luxury - one elevator is almost always down. Things are messy, work requests need multiple follow ups to get addressed, new management inherited a mess but communication is lacking. Overpriced based on neighborhood and quality of apartment. You'll get less bang for your buck in university circle but the building has ADA accessible units, working elevator, ramp at entrances, and ramp in lobby. Many other neighborhoods don't have affordable accessible units. Allows pets with limits and extra fees. Right across street from CWRU parking lot where west campus shuttle picks up to go to HEC. At the HEC, you can transfer to many other CWRU shuttles. Also only 25-35 min walk to quad/BRB

Okay, but going Downhill
Overall, my experience at Axis has been okay. The unit itself is nice and a location convenient to CWRU (bus 9 takes you there if it's cold!), but maintenance of the property as a whole has been not kept up. Various things have been broken for a while, such as a gate in the back of the parking lot, carpet dirty, one elevator broken, etc. The property manager Brel doesn't seem to care about it and isn't always at the office during posted hours. Again, the unit itself is fine, but things seem to be heading in the wrong direction.

Axis
I absolutely love Axis. It is on the expensive side but it covers everything except electricity (which is not much). The gym is very convenient and it is also a 10 minute walk to school.

Convenient location, spacious apartment
I love my apartment at Axis! My apartment is spacious and I live very close to campus and the HEC, which is very convenient. Only concerns are that building management is not the greatest and the immediate area surrounding the apartment are not very safe at night. Apartment-wide amenities are also generally limited (ex: there is no large shared-space for social gatherings, for example) and surrounding amenities (ex: restaurants and bars) are also limited.

Axis at ansel
It is a large, new apartment building that is generally clean and well-maintained. The rent is a bit high for the size, but it is conveniently located hear the health education campus and Cleveland Clinic. The walk to CWRU/UH is about one mile so that is doable on most days depending on weather.

Amazing building, some inconsideration of neighbors
Building is amazing, modern, clean, spacious units with almost all amenities included (water, gas, cable, wifi all included), you only pay electric; In unit laundry in each unit, walk in closets, massive bathroom. The security guards and property managers are the best, extremely kind and helpful.
Only cons would be that your car will be occasionally broken into (so leave nothing in it, ever) and some neighbors unfortunately do not pick up after their dogs which can be more or less annoying than the car robberies.
