Darragh Street Apartments Review
Darragh's greatest appeal is its proximity to Pitt Med's campus (it's a <5 min walk). However, the units are small and the walls are thin, and it is easy to hear roommates and neighbors. Parking is an additional fee (around $100/month), but all other utilities are included. My unit was not clean upon move-in, and maintenance is only somewhat responsive.

Darragh
Overall good experience. Very close location to Scaife and the main UPMC hospitals so convenient for school. The apartment is pretty small though with relatively old appliances. You get used to the coziness though. Biggest feature is proximity to school.

Darragh St
The apartment is very convenient for a medical student as the VA and main hospitals are walking distance. However the price for the square footage is very overpriced. The rent goes up every year. If I could do it again, I would rent elsewhere. It’s too small and expensive.

It's pricey for what you get
My unit was newly renovated at the time I moved in, so the furnishings were really nice, and they eliminated the carpeting in the non-bedroom areas. The kitchen had new appliances, cabinets, and bathroom fixtures (except the shower). Overall, it's been pleasant to live there, and has perks in terms of being to walk to most of the major hospitals/clinics. Parking is expensive and there's a waitlist to get parking in the lot by the building (otherwise you have to park in the OC lot up the hill). The fire alarm system is probably the worst part of this complex (especially because it happens most often at night). In terms of maintenance, they are there 24/7, but a lot of the communication is confusing and it takes forever to get in touch with the right people to plan maintenance.

Darragh Apartment
I have a 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment. It's a little small, but the bedroom is a separate room and I have my own dishwasher, washer and dryer which comes in handy. I like that water, electric and internet/cable are all included in my rent, and for the most part it is very quiet. I have a great view of Oakland, but it will depend what side of the apartment complex you're on. I'm also conveniently close to bus lines and to my schooling.
