The building is fine. It’s less than 10 years old but its degradation shows how cheaply built it is. For however mediocre the building is, the property managers are horrific. At every turn they have been unreliable, unprofessional and rude.

Don't live here
Pav does not care about its residents. They will enter your apartment whenever they want, without warning, and also will not leave notes to indicate that anyone has entered your home. When things break, they will send someone to fix it kind of quickly, but again you won't know when they are coming, and if something breaks often, Pav will just keep fixing it rather than replacing it. They do not care about their residents, and once even deactivated the building-wide fire alarm without telling the residents. People stole packages from the building, and even entered one resident's apartment to steal items and Pav's reaction was basically "you're on your own with this, dear residents." They can't even fix the security cameras... Finally, the package process is wild here. If you order a package, it could end up in the lobby, at your front door, in your mailbox, or in the (very disorganized) package room. The complex will not notify you when you receive a package.

OK but I know a lot of other people haven't had the best experiences
Everything looks decently nice, but everything is a little dinged up. Management aren't the most responsive but they can be helpful. Work orders are completed in a decent amount of time. Maybe a bit overpriced but the location is super convenient.

Is Pav really that bad?
It's more modern facilities and there are a lot of amenities (gym in apartment, pool, grill, common space area, and fireplace, etc.) but I have lots of work orders and the management isn't super responsive. There's also lots of community events which is cool but there's random fees too that I feel like they use to let those events occur so I guess it's fine. Also, utilities ($70) feel unusually high- unsure how it typically is here though. Overall, I think it's a good place to live, esp as a 1L because it ends up being where everyone pregames before they go out or gets together.
