Good value

The Fischer apartments are good value for the rent and offer a variety of options for shorter term rentals, even on a semester by semester basis. 15 minute walk to the law school with a shuttle option that is nice when it is cold. Apartments are older but decently maintained. Management is responsive to questions and work orders.

Downsides are no in-apartment laundry (laundry is in the community center) and if you choose the pre-furnished option the beds are twin size and pretty small.

Affordable and Central

Don’t expect any bells and whistles, but the maintenance team is quick and it’s nice to be on campus. It has a great community of people and is a solid entry level option. If you plan on spending most of your time in the library and just want a quiet place to retreat to at the end of the day, this is your place.

Can't get closer for cheaper

Living at Fischer is a great choice for a new student. It keeps you walking distance to the law school, is without a doubt the least expensive choice in the area, and the apartments are all furnished. Some issues: the apartments are old and haven't been revamped since they were built (I assume in the 60's-70's). Appliances, carpet, walls, etc. are outdated and sometimes dingy. Also, you still have to pay the university to park, and the office sometimes is hard to get ahold of.

Love Living in Fischer

I love living in Fischer Graduate Residences. Everything on campus is within walking distance. I can see my parking spot from my living room. Having a car helps for if you want to get off campus to go to the grocery store or anywhere else. The housing office responds quickly, and the people who work in the Community Center are so nice. There is secure package pickup in a package room inside the community center. The community center also has a chapel, the laundry facilities, and a printer. I feel safe living in Fischer. It's a nice, affordable place to live. The rooms are spacious with undergraduate dorm style furniture. You can easily get to know the people in the buildings around you, which is an awesome way to get to know other law students and people in other programs.

Nothing to complain about - Nothing to brag about

The apartments are not always in the best of condition, but they are adequate. The location is very safe and the management is solid.

Fischer

It's not a fancy apartment, but it's a cheap option right on campus within walking distance to the law school. There is no in-unit washer/dryer and no dishwasher.

On campus housing

The only advantage this apartment offers is it is on campus and is pretty safe because of the same. One can walk around late night and not be worried at all. Other housing facilities near the campus are not the best in my opinion in terms of safety for late in the night but offer a better housing infrastructure

Excellent location and fair quality for price.

Great location to campus for walking or biking. Price is cheaper compared to other buildings except The Landings, but reflects the quality trade-off with older buildings, amenities, and management. Okay for families and couples, but would steer towards the newer Landings development for better price, but farther location from campus.
