Nine at Mary Brickell Village

Located right in the heart of Brickell, there is no better location to be as a student. The location can not be beat in terms of distance to clinical rotations, avoiding traffic (by being in the city already and community the opposite direction of other people), and walking to all of the night-life, restaurants, and shopping you could want/ need. The apartments are really nice and new, and the gym, library/ study space/ and pool area are all you could want and more as a student. The units are spacious and have nice outdoor space with updated bathrooms and tons of closet space. That being said, the apartment is quite pricey and has its cons (keeping it from being a 10/10 rating). These cons include: the elevators consistently being broken (so you have to wait considerable time for the remaining elevators), the building being very strict with various rules including moving in and out (not the hugest deal but annoying how they charge you tons of money and make you jump through various hoops), and finally, the building's staff is unprofessional at times and very difficulty to contact should any problems arise (I'm still waiting on my deposit refund after having moved out 3 months ago).

Area is great and building has great amenities. Apartment is huge according to brickell standards.

If you're from out of state, I would recommend living in the city for at least part of your time here. Though slightly pricey, Brickell gives us the true Miami experience and everything is within walking/ scooter distance from our apartment. Living close to highway access, it is only 20 minutes from campus and an ideal location close to most of the hospitals for clinicals. We travel in the opposite direction from traffic all the time (leaving in the morning and returning at night), so traffic does not pose an issue. Being in the city has disadvantages in terms of being a little costly but I save a ton of money in parking and Ubers and am only 10 minutes from the beach while the apartment comes with a ton of amenities (including Publix being on the 1st floor).
