Solstice
It is generally a quiet building. It’s conveniently located near Trader Joe’s and not far from Whole Foods. It’s also a block from many of the UChicago shuttle stops.

Great Location for UChicago Shuttles
Solstice is expensive, but nice. The apartments have floor-to-ceiling windows and nice amenities. There is a nice gym in the building. There’s also free coffee and a lounge/study area downstairs if you need a change of scenery. The location is also great - it’s one block from the Midway Metra UChicago shuttle stop, which runs every 10-15 minutes during rush hours and stops in front of the law school. It’s also on the route for other UChicago shuttles.

Solstice All Year Long
Solstice is a really nice, new property with responsive management. It has great windows and the people who work at the front desk are really, really great.

Hyde Park Reviews
I personally loved living close to campus, for access both to Harper Center and to the broader UChicago campus. I feel much more integrated with the rest of the university as a result of proximity and availability.
In short, there's enough going on in Hyde Park not to feel isolated, but it's far enough away from the city not to feel suffocated.
