A Perfect Law School Location
Location: The location is perfect in my opinion. Walking distance to Scott's Addition (1.2 miles), Carytown (0.3 miles), the VMFA (0.5 miles) and the Fan (0.1 miles). 15 minute drive to the law school (4.4 miles). 4+ restaurants within 2 blocks of my front door. I almost never have to uber anywhere because I can just walk.
Amenities: On site gym (decent for staying in shape, but limited free weights), off street parking (hugely important in the Fan), an organic food vending machine, on-site property management, all-inclusive rent. Giant windows, sunlights, brick interior.
I'm moving after I graduate but I stayed at CSS for all 3 years. I'm hoping to move to another Legend Property Group property in my new city. The all-inclusive rent is something that ended up being very important to me so I could budget exactly every month with no variables and only one bill to pay (which meant that I could focus more on classes).

Great Housing but expensive
I really like where I live. A lot of the residents are young professionals and some law students. It is dog friendly with a one time fee of $300. I know what my bill is every month because everything is included, and i mean everything.
Biggest issues are some dog owners don't pick up after their dogs and the trash does pile up when they have issues with the trash service.
Some two bedrooms are available but they fill up quick.

Best Around
Definitely one of the pricier options you can find in Richmond, but also by far one of the nicest. Most available listings in Richmond are old-school dainty cheap places, and coming from NYC and then DC I wasn't about to live like that for a year.

Personal Review
It is a great apartment, a little pricey but very safe and in the heart of the fan. It is within walking distances from a lot of bars, restaurants, and little shops.

Cary street station
The apartment complex is in a great location, located in Cary town and is a very walkable area. It’s a 13 minute drive to school and only about 1.5 miles from downtown. They allow you to have 2 pets with no weight restrictions. The complex is a little pricey, but everything is included which is nice. It is also right next to PBR, do not rent a place in building one, it is super loud because it shares the building with PBR and a boxing ring, but the rest of the buildings are fine. Everything is modern and updated. As with any large complex, the walls are really thin, but if you are lucky and end up with quiet neighbors it’s not a problem. One last negative thing is that they do not have recycling.

Good
The managers of the property send passive aggressive emails when they are not happy with how residents use some of the amenities such as the club house but other than that the place is awesome and looks really cool with 20 foot ceilings.
