While I admit the 600 sq ft junior 1-bed my girlfriend and I shared was not ideal, we love living in the building so much that we moved to a bigger unit after a year and plan to stay for at least a couple more. Not only is it the perfect location to take a bus, train, or walk (when it's nice) to and from work, but all the restaurants, bars, grocery stores, etc. you could need are also right around the corner, and not to mention probably visible from the balcony included with every unit.

Perfect Location in a great building!

My boyfriend and I have lived in this building for a year, and liked it so much that we decided to stay and upgrade to a bigger corner unit. Each unit has a giant balcony with views of downtown to the east or sunsets to west. There is also a great rooftop and gym! We are in the perfect location as downtown is only a mile away with all the bars and restaurants in River North along the way, so happy hours on your walk home from work are a must. There is also a bus right outside our door, and the red line across the street. They just opened a new beautiful Jewel grocery store a block away which we go to everyday- it feels like we are living a European lifestyle now! It's a dog friendly building, and on the weekends, you can let your dog run in the fenced in field of a school a block away. We are situated right between the Gold Coast and Old Town, so you have your choice everyday of where you want to go! We will probably be here for years to come, and I don't want to be anywhere else but here in the city!

I love Old Town for its amazing restaurant choices. That and it is beautiful to walk through (Old Town Triangle and side streets). It is wonderful being close to the beach and walking distance to downtown. One of the things I am not particularly fond of is the "Brotastic" atmosphere at most of the bars but it goes with the territory.
Old Town is the best neighborhood in Chicago! We are situated perfectly within all the best Chicago has to offer, everything is super close and walkable, and there is so much to do! It is a historical area where you can learn more about the city's history before the Great Chicago Fire of 1871, and also grab drinks and dinner at fun restaurants!
The neighborhood could be more secure to be honest. There have been a few times where I would not want to walk alone at night--and I'm a guy that can fend for himself. I recommend having a car or an escort instead of walking alone at night. But overall its really not bad.
There are plenty of grocery stores in the neighborhood with feasible prices for the city which is nice. Additionally, there are plenty of fast food as well as restaurants in this area and a great bar scene as well. There's always something to do.
Everything you could ever want is in walking distance; such a fun area! Parking garages nearby for car storage. Lots of restaurants and bars. Right by the zoo, the beach, the city...it's just the perfect location.
Tons of bars and restaurants, and great for anyone in their 20s to 30s. Easy to walk to hair salons, nails salons, Walgreens, and the grocery store. Also, plenty of work out classes and gym close by.
Neighborhood is great, you can't beat being right on Wells in the middle of all the action. There are several great restaurants and bars to enjoy within a short walking distance.
Old town is the perfect location for me. Easy commute to the loop with the train being a five minute walk to my apartment. Great restaurants and night life too!
