Awesome location. Great living space.

This apartment is in a great location. Bars and restaurants of Old Town and Gold Coast are all within a 5-10 minute walk. You can enjoy Lincoln Park and its zoo, which are very close. It's a 20 minute walk to the hospital, and the Red Line is very close if you're going to a Cubs or White Sox game. There is a good sized common area with floor-to-ceiling windows allowing tons of natural sunlight. I don't deal with management too often, which I think is a good thing.

Good building, but needs a gym!

Overall, the building is nice (recently renovated patio) and the doormen are really great. I have, however, had issues with another tenant steeling a deliveries and making loads of noise (unit doors have no noise insulation), and there is constantly smoke coming through the vents from other units. The water heat and pressure is very poor, but it could just be my unit? Also, no smoke alarm? Overall a good value for what I pay in that location, but since it's a condo building, this would depend on your landlord!

Gold Coast Reviews

The Gold Coast experience is a bit like two sides of a coin depending on your exact location. There's the supposedly infamous Viagra Triangle, but really, it's just all a bunch of ostentatiously wealthy people who literally mill around and block the entirety of the sidewalks all evening long. If you're more of an extrovert who has a lot of superfluous cash, that would probably be a fun place to be? I'm more of an introvert, so I'm happy once I pass Division (with its own subset of bars--again, there's a lot going on), and it's all architecturally stunning mansions and much quieter. In general, the most important thing that I can say about this neighborhood is that I have seen more dogs in this area at all hours than in any other city, period, and that's EASILY the best incentive to live in the Gold Coast.
I've lived in the Gold Coast for 12 years. I love the neighborhood, but it lacks new developments (that are under a million dollars per unit). The Gold Coast is as safe as you're going to get in Chicago. There are so many places and other neighborhoods that are in walking distance. Being on the lakefront, I believe the Gold Coast is the best neighborhood in the city.
It's right in the heart of it all. You're also really close to Navy Pier here, and it's a wonderful spot. Millenium park is a nice short walk away, and there's ALWAYS something going on.
Great neighborhood to live in. There are plenty of restaurants and shopping in the area. It's also close to everything, so it's easy to walk or take public transit.
My experience has been wonderful. I feel safe and there is always something to do, whether I want to go to a nearby festival or try out a trending restaurant or bar.
Gold coast is close to Division street and cool Gold Coast restaurants. We're a quick walk to the lake, shopping, and great places to eat.
Very quaint. Amazing homes and really close to RH Three Arts Café. Also a convenient walk to Old Town and Division St. Bars.
The Gold Coast is a great neighborhood and very safe. It's full of old people, but this building is very young.
