Cheap, Convenient, and Nice

The apartment is very nice and the location is fantastic. The inclusion of all utilities and a low rent makes this places cost almost impossible to beat.

The only bad part is that you are only allowed one parking spot per apartment even if it is a two bedroom. You can apply for a second spot, but this is not guaranteed and likely will not be at your specific building if you do get it.

Baity Hill

For MBA students, Baity Hill apartments would be highly recommended due to its location, cost, and features. The apartment area is about 5 minute walk to the business school building and many business school students live in the apartments. It's a graduate study-only complex, so no worries about undergraduates being in the area. Utilities, internet (UNC internet), cable are included within the rent.

Great option for families close to campus

The location and price are the best aspects of renting at Baity Hill. It is right next to school and is probably the best value when you consider that utilities are included.

Maintenance issues were all resolved quickly.

The size is a bit small for a family with 2 or more children.

Everything is great and simple

Everything is simple. Everything works, when it doesn't, it is immediately fixed. The rate is very competitive, and includes everything you may need, from water and electricity to wifi and cable tv.
It should allow pets to be perfect. A pool would also be handy. It is close to school, but further away from Franklin. P2P fixes that though.

Good for business grad students

Baity Hill and Mason Farm are the most convenient housing for business students. The price is fair and the accommodations are awesome! The property has only two problems: the mail system is not ideal, and sometimes we have to get it at the administration office, and the people from the administration is not polite at all.

Great Location and Price

Mason Farm is the only apartment complex that is walking distance to the business school. It is also cheaper compared to the local alternatives. Biggest complaints is lack of guest parking for visitors and limited package center hours.

Great and afordable option for families

If you are coming for the MBA/PhD program at UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School, Baity Hill should be your housing option. It is conveniently located very close to the business school (walking distance) and it is very family friendly. There is a playground for kids where you can also network with other students at UNC. All utilities are included in the rent, so you don't have to worry about electricity, water or internet consumption. Internet connection is fast and reliable. Maintenance is covered and response is fairly fast.

Getting around Baity Hill

Baity Hill Reviews

55 reviews
Baity Hill is tucked away on aside Street that comes up next to campus. The only neighborhood is the actual apartment complex which is full of International students or students with families. The normal homes nearby seem calm and safe to walk by. It's a great area being so close to campus.
They are friendly, kind so I feel safe in my apartment.
Some of them are noisy sometimes, but basically, I am not bothered so much.
Love the complex and surrounding area. Very “neighborhoody.” However, very dark at night, not many lights.
Its campus so you get all the benefits but still removed from the undergrads which is really nice.
Quiet, peaceful, easy access to campus, highway and Franklin St
It’s a cute neighborhood to walk around. Feels very safe.
Baity Hill accommodates singles, couples, and families, and the neighborhood is very diverse. There are common areas to meet within the community, and you have great access to different areas of campus. The area is very safe at all hours, with minimal noise. Grocery stores are just a couple of miles away - you can get there by driving, convenient public transit, or the UNC shuttle service.
It's very quiet: mostly graduate students and some families. Very convenient for getting to McColl. It is tucked away in the corner of campus so if you want to walk anywhere, it takes about a mile to get into campus. I would recommend having a car for this neighborhood since there are no grocery stores within walking distance.
