Loved my time here!

It’s about a 12-15 minute drive to the school. It’s across the street from the hospital so you do hear police/ambulances but otherwise it’s a very quiet complex. I hardly ever hear our neighbors on any side—perfect for studying. The rooms are pretty big, nice closets, individual bathrooms within your room plus a half bath in the main room. Black marble countertops and big picture windows. It can be furnished at no extra cost (includes TV, couch, chair, dining set, bed frame, bed, desk & chair, dresser drawers, and a nightstand). You can pick and choose what you want (if anything). It is gated with a parking garage. There’s an elevator and many beautiful sitting areas on each floor and a reservable “party room” — all perfect for studying. The complex gym is also nice.

I love living here

Moved in to the Edge Flats as a 1L and I have not moved from the community since. I originally lived in a 2 bedroom with a roommate and now this will be my second year in a 1 bedroom. I love the community, all utilities except electricity are included and covered parking. Very secure complex. Also extremely close to many grocery stories, restaurants, and things of the sort.

Convenient but not luxurious

The apartment itself is in good condition and the apartment staff are very responsive. I like that it is gated, and included garage parking is nice. The complex can be noisy at times, and we can hear our neighbors above us. The finishes in the apartment are adequate but not high end, and the living space is small for a two bedroom.

Quiet and comfortable

I’ve had a great experience with the complex so far. The apartments are decently sized, it’s always quiet and I hardly ever hear my neighbors, there is some noise from the highway/hospital but never too disruptive. The apartments are beautiful, can come furnished at no extra cost and have big beautiful windows. The amenities are also beautiful

Luxury Housing

I like living at The Edge, even though the complex is a bit further from campus than other complexes, but it is really close to downtown. The gate and building has controlled, security access with a key fob. The apartments come furnished at no extra cost, include a full washer and dryer, and are spacious with upgraded appliances. Maintenance is also really fast if I ever have a problem. The complex is quiet too - mostly grad and med students and young working professionals that live there.

Highly Recommend

Overall this is a great complex. It is fairly new and modern and the prices are fair for what you get. The management and maintenance staff are very responsive and the building itself is very quiet. There is a parking garage and an outdoor surface lot and the entrance to the complex is gated as well as key fob access is required to get into the building. There is also a WSPD police officer that stays on the premises. Parking garage spaces can fill up pretty quickly depending on what time of day you arrive back home, but there is always space available in the outside lot. The only down side to this complex is that it is located right next to Wake Baptist Hospital so you frequently hear sirens from ambulances and you also hear the helicopters flying in if they are airlifting someone to or from the hospital. Other than that I highly recommend this complex. They also offer furnished units for no extra cost which is helpful for someone who may be relocating to Winston and does not have furniture to bring with them.
