Good Option
Location is great, management is responsive. Downside is no utilities included in rent. One issue is that when the heat turns off in the fall it gets really hot in the apartment and there isn’t an easy way to cool down. If you’re facing west you can also hear the train pretty loudly.
Review of Apartment
The apartment is located in downtown, Oak Park near many grocery stores, useful shops, green spaces and public transport. There is a small gym and community room upstairs that are usually very free. The rent is very reasonable for the area (on the cheaper side for a high rise), but does not include utilities or parking. Outdoor parking is $175 per month, and indoor is $200 per month. Utilities are generally below $100 total per month.
Very OK
Not really any amenities, had some issues with unit and forced to move. Relocating to west loop for similar price. you do get larger apts for not a bad price.
Great amenities, 20 min drive from campus, old appliances
Very difficult experience having to submit lots of paperwork to get my emotional support animal to get the pet fee waived, but after a therapist letter and apartment documents it was done. The apartment itself is kind of old, built in the 70s and there is no internal lighting besides in the kitchen/bathroom so you will buy a lot of lamps. Since its old sometimes the bathrooms get a strange smell despite cleaning. The pros are being on the bus route (35 min straight to Vandy) and 20 min drive to campus as well as a 24 hour access gym and pool. It is by Bellevue ONE so many bars and restaurants close by.
Post Ridge Review
I have renewed my lease with Post Ridge for the second time this year. The units are big and spacious for a an affordable price. The neighborhood is only 15 minutes away from the city.
Affordable in Falls Church City
FC City has few affordable, nice places to live. This is one of them. Rents elsewhere can be 50%+ more. You get less amenities here, no gym, concierge, or other things associated with higher end appts. However, it is affordable, clean, and a very good location.
Belltown
I've enjoyed living in Belltown quite a lot since I moved into this apartment a few years ago. Though the neighborhood can be a bit "rough" this building is nice enough that I don't really think about it and I'd say that means the building is doing its job.
Good Location
From day one, by experience has been great! I fell in love with the hardwood floors right off the bat and feel like it makes the apartment feel upscale. The gym is wonderful with great equipment and makes it so that a gym membership isn't necessary!
