Don't recommend
The apartments are not kept up well, constant issues with things such as sinks and toilets, just overall a dingy feeling.

Crowne Polo
I love living at Crowne Polo. There is an exceptional management team, spacious apartment layouts, and wonderful amenities. I would highly recommend it to any new law student.

Great experience!
It's been just what we needed. Quiet (at least our building is - some people have not had the same experience, but I've been told that's because of undergrads living there this year because of COVID). Maintenance comes quickly any time we need something. The facilities are nice. Close to campus, grocery stores, and good price for the quality.

Used to Be Better
Polo used to be great, but this year has brought a break-in of 50 cars after the security went unfixed for a period of time, undergraduate students throwing lots of parties in the middle of a pandemic, and slow to respond management.

Good, responsive management
Really great experience living at Crowne Polo! Management is really fast and responsive and this area is so pet-friendly. Most law students live here so that's nice. This year, with Wake kicking undergrads off campus, a lot of them lived here, which was not so nice. Hopefully they will move back to campus next year !
Kitchens are super small and cramped, but otherwise lots of space and storage !
Car break ins happen frequently. Mine has never personally been broken into, but that's something to think about.

Not Great, Not Terrible
I think my experience has been a little atypical. Because of COVID and issues with social distancing in on-campus housing, there are a lot of undergrads living here, which doesn't usually happen. As you might imagine, they are LOUD and have parties on weeknights, and that is far from an ideal environment for law students. There have been issues with car break-ins as well. There are police cars here more often than you would expect. The management tends to not be very accessible.
Positives: Lots of space for what you're paying, easy parking, big closets, big bathrooms, nice pool, convenient location

Great Apartment Close to WFU Campus
Crowne Polo is a great apartment complex to live in that is close to campus. I have met other grad students through my apartment complex and made some great friends!

Please do not rent from Crowne Polo
Crowne Polo used to be a relatively quiet apartment complex with affordable rent and decent housing. It was almost entirely graduate students, with the exception of a few young professionals and young families. Now, it is full of undergraduate students who are completely unsupervised. They have turned Crowne Polo into a loud, disrespectful complex full of drunk teenagers who will puke off of their balcony and onto yours. Save yourself the headache and rent at Crowne Park or literally anywhere else.

Crowne Polo Review
Crowne Polo for the most part is good. The only really good amenity is the pool which will be filled with law students, and now undergraduate students, on nice days during the early fall/late spring part of the semester. Although this amenity has basically ceased to exist thanks to COVID. I find the apartment to be far more expensive than it really should be for what you get. The upside is that a lot of other law students live in polo, you can walk to school if you want, and there are grocery stores/gas stations very close by. Downside is that its far from bars and restaurants downtown and you'll have to uber/lyft back and forth. Again, thats not a bad thing at all usually but with COVID and the lack of ubers/lyfts getting downtown for fun is not nearly as feasible. Also, in terms of crime, it seems like every semester a bunch of peoples' cars get broken in to or stolen, seems like polo never really cares to do anything about it since it continues to be a problem literally every semester.
