great apartments close to school
i really love living here! i can make it to the law school in 10 minutes (a big selling point for someone like me who loves to hit snooze), and i have a ton of space to really feel at home in my apartment.
it's got ample room for my dog, and i can just walk out my back door for her to go outside.
maintenance is always super responsive to me, and all of the staff is very understanding with my school/dog schedule whenever i submit a request.
while it's a little pricey and doesn't have a ton of grad students, i couldn't have asked for a better option! if you're at all interested in the Crowne properties, Crowne Oaks is by far the best choice.

A great place to live, not too far from campus
Crowne Oaks is a great place to live. It's about 20 minutes to walk from there to the law school, but there is a shuttle that goes to campus from Crowne Oaks every 30 minutes. It's easy to get to school, even if you don't have a parking permit on campus. My unit is very nice, recently renovated, and there have hardly been any maintenance issues. It is also a very popular spot to live with lots of other students nearby, but it's very quiet and easy to study there.

Very spacious, relatively affordable, good location
I moved here because it had a a very convenient location, lots of space, and was much cheaper per square foot than anywhere downtown. It’s a pretty quiet neighborhood and management/maintenance is really responsive. The pool is nice. Some cons, however, are that the gym is really small, the ‘walking trail’ behind the complex is not well kept, and the walkability of the area is fairly limited. As a runner, I often prefer to drive to reynolda or to the wake campus to just have a nicer area to run in.

Experience at Crowne Oaks
Crowne Oaks has been a decent apartment complex overall. The area is gated and feels very secure. The area is landscaped well and the rooms provide plenty of room. The appliances have had barely any maintenance issues and the management is responsive to any problems or questions. The apartment complex has had a bit of an ant problem on the curbs where cars are parked and the ants sometimes will get inside the system which can be annoying at times. Overall, though, I have had a great experience and would recommend it because of the safety, functionality of the appliances, and the location.

Experience at Crowne Oaks
Crowne Oaks has been a decent apartment complex overall. The management is very responsive and the appliances work well. The apartment complex is gated and has been secure. There is a gym and pool located in the center of the complex and it is not difficult to walk to. The only issue I have had has been a small issue with ants that have gotten into my car several times, which has been a little annoying to deal with. Besides this, the experience has been great, and I would recommend the apartment based on its safety, functionality of appliances and in terms of the location.

Spacious and Affordable with Convenient Location
I like living at Crowne Oaks! My boyfriend and I have a lot of space here and the location is very convenient and a very short drive to the wake campus. Maintenance is also very friendly and responsive. I do wish the surrounding area was more walkable, as I enjoy going for runs but often end up driving to Reynolda Village and run from there. The walking path connected to the apartment complex is not very well maintained and the gym is very small. The pool is nice.

Lowkey Living
I love how so many other law students live here, it's like a small community. It is very quiet and kept very clean.

Three Minutes To School
Love the location! Tons of other Wake students are here too. Not too many undergrads, so the noise levels are low. Would definitely recommend.
