Absolutely Beautiful Place

Amazing lobby and doormen. The management company is bad, they are unresponsive and do not seem to care about the experience of their tenants. The roof deck is beautiful and the apartments are very clean and new. The gym is nice but the location is remote.

Nice apartment, a few hiccups

The apartment itself is beautiful - high ceilings, hardwood floors, and a gorgeous view with a lot of sunlight. The lobby and gym are also nice, and the building is pet friendly. It is right by the 4/5, and close to the 1 and the R, so it's easy to get anywhere in Manhattan. There is free breakfast on Sunday, and occasionally on other days of the week.

However, they don't always treat their residents very well. When you "reserve" an elevator to move in, you expect that you will be the only one using it, and that you won't have to call the front desk and request that the elevator be sent down for every. single. trip. Also, if 2 people live in an apartment, it's reasonable to give them at least 2 keys, and 3 if they ask, even if only 1 person lived in the apartment before (what difference should that make??).

The valet is wonderful, however, as are all of the maintenance employees I've met.

Love my building!

I have lived in the Caroline for almost 4 years. The staff is incredibly friendly, helpful, and professional. The location is absolutely amazing, close to every major subway and downtown! The amenities in the building are excellent. They include delivery of packages right into your apartment, on demand cleaners (they are amazing), a game room, a beautiful roofdeck, a concierge, doormen, handymen, brunches, and summer BBQs! I highly recommend the Caroline!

Really Enjoyed it so far

Very nice building with beautiful apartments at good price compared to others around. The building has a rooftop, two elevators, laundry room, and a gym. There is also storage space available for a monthly cost. Overall it is a great place to live in.

The neighborhood is quiet and has a community feel. There are a few undergraduate schools (Pace and Kings) but it does not feel like they dominate the area. It is mostly occupied by young couples and small families. Lots of schools in the area. Quiet and residential, but with the feel of a city. The neighborhood can be expensive, but you get a lot for your money. A lot of the restaurants in the area are on the more expensive side.
Love Fidi - it is quiet, great bars/restaurants, and you can get a good deal on rent.
Living in the FiDi was a great transition for a small town girl moving to the big city! Pretty much everyone goes home by 6 which leaves the streets quiet. The financial district is the part of the city that sleeps. There's multiple affordable grocery shops in the neighborhood, great dining on Stone St and it's home to the charging bull and The World Trade Center!
I love living in the Fidi. It's close to every public transportation, you can walk East or West quickly. It's growing in ways I don't love, and I worry that it's just going to be one big mall soon.
The neighborhood may not have the hottest bars or cheap eats, but your access to almost every subway line makes it easy to get places.
Kind of dead at night and weekends, but feels very safe and the quiet is nice. Also very transit-accessible, which is great.
Nice neighborhood, very quiet, close to many bars and restaurants and close to Fulton St transportation.
Safe, barely any noise at night. The only problem is the closest grocery store is a 10 min walk away.
