Very clean and recently renovated apartments with cute mason jar lighting schemes and new appliances. Parking lot is kind of a joke but appreciated nonetheless. Laundry room is almost always nonfunctioning. Very close to bus stop. Friendly management.

I love this neighborhood! Everything you need from the grocery store to coffee shops and bookstores are all close by.
I love my neighborhood! It's safe and easy for free bus access to campus on the 7 bus line. Also, it's safe walking home late at night from campus, too. I just live on a noisy corner of it, which is my only complaint. We have great bars and corner stores and coffee shops; perfect for studying, walking, biking, etc.
I love North Loop! There are a bunch of cute coffee shops, restaurants, and bars. It isn't as lively as downtown and eastside, but has everything I needed!
Hyde Park is super frickin cute. Great for walking. Cute restaurants and close to North Loop. Only complaint is price/gentrification.
Ridiculously well serviced by buses and a 20 minute walk to downtown if you're really hoofing it. Generally quiet and safe and clean, however recent neighbors like to throw loud house parties on weekends. HEB, the Hancock shopping center and countless convenience stores within walking distance.

I love North Loop because it offers the convenience of Hyde Park without the steep price. The neighborhood is family friendly and a nice place to walk around in. You can hop on the bus or drive to campus in just 10 minutes. There are several fantastic restaurants in the area (Foreign & Domestic, Home Slice, Quality Seafood, Sa Ten, Sala & Betty, Kome) and some vintage shops.
Lots of cool places to eat, not a lot of traffic, and only about 10 minutes driving from campus, but feels far enough to really be able to separate school and home life!
