Great location, nice apartment, occasionally annoying neighbors

Chose this apt for the location so that I can walk/bike to Emory. Also, it's closer to the Va Highlands nightlife than some of the other campus area options. Have been very happy with the location.

It's not gated, which I like because I don't have to let visitors in and out. I've never not felt secure, since we're in the middle of a nice neighborhood, but there has been one car broken into since I've been here so if you're nervous about security go for a gated place.

The apartment itself is nice and spacious. Floorplan is nice, kitchen is nice, bed/bath/closet are spacious.
Pool are is nice, but a little small. I wouldn't mind a larger area. The gym looks decent but I never really use it so I can't really say.

Management has been nice enough, I generally only talk to them when I need something or to pick up a package and they're always responsive and helpful. My only real complaint is that they raised rent for the upcoming lease renewal a lot more than expected. A little over 10% when I was expecting 5-7%. Going to renew anyway because I like it here and moving is annoying, but probably not renew next year once school is done.

Gables Rick Springs Phase 2 and Lofts

My fiancé and I rented two units at Gables Rock Springs- a loft for me and a Phase two 1b1b for her. My loft was over 850sqft and her unit was 770sqft at $1280. The complex has 2 luxury pools and fitness centers as well as a car wash center and business center. Less than 5 minute drive to and from campus to the South. Great value, location, maintenance, management, amenities, and more. My loft came with a sky light and attic so I had plenty of sunshine and storage and pets were allowed.

Friendly community great for dogs

My husband and I have lived at Gables Rock Springs for about 3 years. We recently re-signed for next year. We really like it because it is centrally located, but tucked on a private road so it feels like a nice, safe neighborhood. We have a dog and it has been a great location for that. There are a lot of other dog owners in the building and it creates and nice, friendly community. There is a really nice wooded park with a creek a short walk from the apartments that I take my dog to every day and let him run around. It is really fun and convenient. The staff at gables are always very friendly and quick to address things.

Good student living

Gables is great as I am a student at a nearby college. Many other students and young professionals stay in this complex which is good. Safety hasn't been a concern, but walking my dog late at night can be interesting when not directly at the complex. Nice pool, but have to leave around 10 at the latest as other residents live right next to it.

Great view of the city!

Our apartment had a great view of the midtown skyline which was great at night. The gym is below average but the apartment is pretty big for 2 bed and 1 bath. The bathroom was shared but was not a problem because their are two sink and it is huge. Lots of closet space as well!

Generally, Good experience

Gables does a good job providing modern amenities and safety. Any issues I've had have been tended to by the staff in a timely manner. Only downside is we had to deal with 5 months of "middle-man" fees that management did not tell us about, we had to come forward to ask them. Seemed a little strange to me, like they were hiding these fees from us.

Living large

this is a great place to live. location can't be beat. The demographic is graduate students and young professionals. There are a few older people living there and maybe a couple families. I have a one bedroom one bath and it's great. The floorplans I've seen have all been well thought out.

Great Place

It's a great apartment complex if you are money conscious. It's a little older than some of the complexes nearby but it's an interesting place to live. It has three pools and 2 gyms. It's easy to get in and out of. The office staff could be nicer but overall it's great.

Nice Place with some exceptions

Been here for 7 months. It's an ok place with ok management. Loud neighbors and you get what you pay for. Management are helpful but seem a little annoyed when you come into the office. Not very many social gatherings with neighbors but the amenities are nice.

Druid Hills Reviews

Druid Hills is the home neighborhood of Emory, the CDC, and lots of other areas. It is also close to Midtown, downtown Decatur, Inman Park, etc. so a good time is never far away. Lots of restaurants and grocery stores. The university provides lots of activities. Plenty of parks and walking trails if you know where to look.
Druid hills is historic and full of parks and sidewalks. Super safe and exercise and pet friendly. Best part about where I live is the location
love the neighborhood. amazing parks, families, houses, lovely place to be and walk
Beautiful hilly neighborhood with lots of forested parks and quiet streets for runs and walks. You are a 10-15 min walk to the restaurants at Morningside and to Emory village in the opposite direction. It's not close to the beltline, Piedmont, or many of the restaurants/bars you'll find closer to Midtown, but it's quiet and good for students at Emory.
The Druid hills neighborhood is residential and you'll need a car or rideshare to get to most retail areas. It can be quite if you have good neighbors and is typically a safe neighborhood. Gables Rock Springs has experienced some break-ins over the past 6 months while I've been living there, but I don't know the circumstances and haven't experienced it myself.
Lots of great restaurants, driving is decent around here (for Atlanta anyway). I have 2 Publixes, a Target, and a Walmart within 10 minutes of me. I would highly recommend.
Emory Point is basically on campus so the atmosphere is very similar to other areas of Emory, with more shops and restaurants thrown in.
There are a lot of families who live in this complex. Numerous pet owners too, and a wonderfull green area for everyone to play and have fun in. We are right across the street from the Clairmont Campus.
