Extremely overpriced but walking distance to amenities and school
I pay $3640/month for 472 square feet. It's extremely overpriced and it's not as luxury as you would expect. The gym requires an additional $55/month. You do have 24/7 doormen (plural). You have to pay for the laundry machine which is also excessively expensive. Each cycle is $2.80 for wash (more if you choose another setting) and $2.80 for dry. The pluses: 0.3 miles from Whole Foods, 0.6 miles from Trader Joes, 0.8 miles from NYU Stern Business School, the doormen are friendly and will call you when you have a food delivery, the staff in the packaging room are friendly.

Lower East Side Reviews
Pros: walk to campus, great bars/restaurants/coffee shops
Cons: construction can be noisy, some streets feel a little rough at night as you go east of Clinton St, though I've never had any safety issues
