Constant annoyances

The heat doesn't work in the winter and the office just tells you to use emergency heat for the entire season. The appliances are abused and work poorly, the manager is reluctant to fix ANYTHING, there is marijuana smell in the elevators and hallways CONSTANTALY. It even comes into your apartment through the vents. People's dogs poop in the hallways and they don't clean it up, and there is always trash everywhere. The gates don't work consistently, nor do the elevators.

A Westside Gem

With everything you could possibly want in proximity, Alexander at The District is a convenient location to universities and all of your dining and entertainment needs. With on-site fitness and pool as well as an attentive management, I highly recommend The District for students and young couples.

"Upgrades at a fair price, spacious and good layout!"

I have been fairly pleased my 2 bed 2 bath apartment. The apartment is fully upgraded, stainless steel, marble, big bathrooms, hardwood floors in main area. There is a lot of parking (parking garage), but visitor parking can be really limited and you have to give someone your keycard to swipe in the resident parking garage. Water, trash and pest are included in rent. Electric and cable/Internet are not and we pay those on our own. There is a nice little balcony off my apartment. In terms of the area around the apartment, you can take the elevator down into the Walmart parking lot which is very convenient. And it's swipe access only so it's safe. There's also a Kroger very close by. You can walk to an Ulta, Petsmart, TJ Maxx, La Parilla, nail salon, Starbucks etc. The Howell Mill shopping district is very walkable from the apartments. Lots of residents with dogs and there is a small dog run area. Apartments are clean. The outside of the building is slightly hotel-ish, but the insides are very nice. No issues with bugs. Overall, I have no regrets living here!

Fantastic location and great amenities

I love living here. It's a fantastic location--close to Buckhead, Atlantic Station, Midtown, and downtown, with quick access to I75/I85. Also, West Midtown is a very up and coming area with a fantastic restaurant scene. Alexander at the District also has great amenities--free Starbucks coffee for residents!

Alexander At the District

I love the apartment complex I am in. It is super close to work in downtown and I feel safe. I love the hardwood floors and the amount of space I have especially when living with a roommate. The Management staff are really nice and for the most part on top of it which was a huge struggle at my last place.

Getting around Westside

It’s close to shopping, close to Atlantic station, close to Howell mill which has a lot of great restaurants (ex. marcel, Barcelona, sushi oku, the optimist). Can walk to Starbucks and shopping complex including Tj maxx, Office Depot in about 5 minutes. Unfortunately northside drive itself is not really walkable as there are no sidewalks
The neighborhood includes Atlantic Station and the shopping districts on Howell Mill. We are very close to UpBeet, Ormsby's, and a bunch of cute trendy restaurants. Plus, Atlantic Station has all the major shops and a move theater. There is even an LA fitness there.
Westside has definitely come up in terms of Atlanta neighborhoods. There are tons of great restaurants in the area, and it is a very safe place to be, even at night. If you like to eat, you NEED to venture over!
Great because of proximity to campus. Limited gym facilities. otherwise good community. noise levels not too high.
Blandtown is a great area to live that is just away from the hustle of Howell Mill Road and all the amenities that are offered there. Topgolf is convenient and getting to Midtown or the interstates is just a couple of minute drive. Definitely worth saving the money to live over here.
Pros are close to downtown and near a lot of restaurants and about 20 mins from everything within the perimeter. Con at night like most places in the city it can feel a little unsafe as well as there can be a lot of traffic at random parts of the day.
This area is in transition. There are great restaurants and lots of new apartments. It's becoming a really cool part of town but it's not quite there.
