Expensive, but safe and good apartments

It's definitely one of the most expensive options close to Emory. But I think it is worth it for the stability and safety that you get here. Also, the floor plans and apartments in general are solid with space and such.

Expensive but convenient

As someone without a car, I chose to live at Gables Emory Point because it is walkable (20 min) to the business school and also has a shuttle stop right in front. I love the complex for its proximity, nice gym, and relaxing pool. It really has been extremely convenient during the chaotic core semester. However, management is really quite disappointing - especially when I am paying a premium in rent (this place is not cheap!). They are not very helpful and charge fees at the drop of a hat. For example, if you don't pick up your packages within a few days, you will be fined. If you are more than 3 days late on rent, you will be charged a non-negotiable 10% fee. Yikes! Worst of all, they collect a monthly pest control fee, yet there are cockroaches everywhere. Lastly, the apartment complex has not been very social in my experience, but perhaps there is potential for that to be different for others.

Happy to live here, wish management would improve customer service

Emory Point's location is unbeatable. Being able to walk to campus is amazing, and having access to the shops and restaurants in the complex is wonderful. The maintenance staff is fantastic; they are professional, helpful, courteous, and all-around great at their jobs. The leasing office/management is often very frustrating to work with. Living here is great, but the process of getting to live here was unnecessarily challenging.

Really convenient location and good facilities

Expensive but overall good because of the location/ stuff around the area in walk distance. Apartments don't have rugs so good for people with allergies and the balcony is great.

Have some trouble with receiving amazon packages and leasing staff are not the most amenable. Can be loud (cars/ traffic) so if you don't like that may not be the best.

Convenient and New

I have had few issues. The complex is kept up well and the staff is helpful. Occasionally I hear my neighbors clopping around above me but I suppose that's to be expected in an apartment. I have a great view of Downtown Atlanta. Safe and conveniently located 1 mile from GBS.

Convenient to the Law School

In terms of convenience to the law school and basic necessities it is the best. A little overpriced, but you’re paying for location.

Druid Hills Reviews

Druid Hills is the home neighborhood of Emory, the CDC, and lots of other areas. It is also close to Midtown, downtown Decatur, Inman Park, etc. so a good time is never far away. Lots of restaurants and grocery stores. The university provides lots of activities. Plenty of parks and walking trails if you know where to look.
Druid hills is historic and full of parks and sidewalks. Super safe and exercise and pet friendly. Best part about where I live is the location
love the neighborhood. amazing parks, families, houses, lovely place to be and walk
Beautiful hilly neighborhood with lots of forested parks and quiet streets for runs and walks. You are a 10-15 min walk to the restaurants at Morningside and to Emory village in the opposite direction. It's not close to the beltline, Piedmont, or many of the restaurants/bars you'll find closer to Midtown, but it's quiet and good for students at Emory.
The Druid hills neighborhood is residential and you'll need a car or rideshare to get to most retail areas. It can be quite if you have good neighbors and is typically a safe neighborhood. Gables Rock Springs has experienced some break-ins over the past 6 months while I've been living there, but I don't know the circumstances and haven't experienced it myself.
Lots of great restaurants, driving is decent around here (for Atlanta anyway). I have 2 Publixes, a Target, and a Walmart within 10 minutes of me. I would highly recommend.
Emory Point is basically on campus so the atmosphere is very similar to other areas of Emory, with more shops and restaurants thrown in.
There are a lot of families who live in this complex. Numerous pet owners too, and a wonderfull green area for everyone to play and have fun in. We are right across the street from the Clairmont Campus.
