Pretty Good and Close to Campus

I enjoy living at a place with a free pool and fitness center, but the main reason to live there is I can walk to campus (a little less than a mile to the business school)

Close to Campus

Happy I chose to live here as it is the closest apartment to campus. Just know that the response rate from the maintenance team here is VERY slow. Janice in the leasing office is also tough to work with. Otherwise, it has been a convenient location.

Some bedrooms do not have windows and I needed to buy several lamps throughout the apartment.

Review of Emory Point

Overall, this is good if you want to be close to campus but it is expensive. Rent rises every year but you do get a pool and a gym. Bus routes are numerous.

Emory Point - Pricey but Close to Campus

I love my apartment but there are also so many issues. For starters, it's very cute and I love how close it is to campus and the Emory shuttles. I typically walk to campus when it's not too warm out and I love having the option to do so. When I am feeling lazy or it's too hot I have numerous buses to pick from.

Review of Emory Point

Overall, I have had a decent experience renting. I live in a partially furnished place so it was worth the extra cost to not have to buy furniture during the pandemic (when all the prices were super high). However, my building is pretty loud because of how many college students live there. Also, I don't have a car but I know parking is a significant cost for other residents.

Close to campus and great amenities!

Emory Point is VERY close. I don’t buy an Emory university garage spot because my walk from appartment door to medical school building is only 12 minutes. There’s lot of amenities, secure parking, and updated units in Emory Point. It can be a bit pricey but I think the cleanliness, proximity, and utilities are worth it.

Pros and cons

Very safe, love the location (very close to emory), love the apartment itself.

Has a lot of undergrads and the walls are thin so it can be very noisy.

Amazing location bad management

Emory Point is in an amazing location with great amenities. But there is very little support from the management once you're on the lease.

Druid Hills is the home neighborhood of Emory, the CDC, and lots of other areas. It is also close to Midtown, downtown Decatur, Inman Park, etc. so a good time is never far away. Lots of restaurants and grocery stores. The university provides lots of activities. Plenty of parks and walking trails if you know where to look.

Beautiful hilly neighborhood with lots of forested parks and quiet streets for runs and walks. You are a 10-15 min walk to the restaurants at Morningside and to Emory village in the opposite direction. It's not close to the beltline, Piedmont, or many of the restaurants/bars you'll find closer to Midtown, but it's quiet and good for students at Emory.

The Druid hills neighborhood is residential and you'll need a car or rideshare to get to most retail areas. It can be quite if you have good neighbors and is typically a safe neighborhood. Gables Rock Springs has experienced some break-ins over the past 6 months while I've been living there, but I don't know the circumstances and haven't experienced it myself.

Lots of great restaurants, driving is decent around here (for Atlanta anyway). I have 2 Publixes, a Target, and a Walmart within 10 minutes of me. I would highly recommend.

Emory Point is basically on campus so the atmosphere is very similar to other areas of Emory, with more shops and restaurants thrown in.

There are a lot of families who live in this complex. Numerous pet owners too, and a wonderfull green area for everyone to play and have fun in. We are right across the street from the Clairmont Campus.
