Quiet and Very Close to Law School, but Old, Small, and Expensive
I have lived at 3401 all three years of my time at the law school. I chose it because it was at a decent price and close to the school, a grocery store, a gym, and other areas.
Proximity - 10 minute walk to school.
Quiet - it's in the Hyde Park area, so it is quiet most of the time.
Bus Stop - It is right in front of the complex, so you can take the bus to school or downtown and use it to get back home.
Onsite Laundromat - Washer and dryer machines are located on the second floor and accept card.
Large walk-in closet - Can store a lot of stuff in there.

Convenient location and friendly staff
My experience living at 3401 at Red River has been very positive overall. The management here is wonderful, extremely friendly and responsive to tenant questions and requests. We have a nice pool and grilling space. The complex is very pet-friendly. This is the only place I've ever lived in Texas that doesn't have cockroaches, which is a pleasant surprise. Most importantly, I'm super close to campus: it takes only 15 min to walk or 5 minutes to bike to my classes each day! The convenience factor is the best part of living here. My apartment feels decently nice, though I wish my untie got much more natural light. Also, I believe the rent here is too expensive for the quality.

Centrally located and great outdoor facilities, but little natural light.
This place has a TON of amenities: concierge, computer area with printing ability, free coffee/tea in the office, killer pool (though sometimes crowded), two BBQ grills and a place to entertain guests, new floors and appliances. The one drawback is that the apartments are very dark with no natural lighting, so get close with your lamps. I love how spacious they are, and that it's a short bus ride to downtown, and though I'm not a student, it's walking distance to UT.
