-Good things about my apartment:
1. literally 3 minutes walking to Ross, I don't even need a locker at school. It's a great convenience particularly in the cold winter.
2. safe neighborhood (since it's so close to campus).
3. responsible landlord.

-Downside of my apartment
1. it's noisy. You can hear the surrounding fraternity houses having parties, you can hear other tenants play music when it's loud.
2. the building is old and the kitchen appliances are old too.

Very noisy apartment and neighborhood. Backyard on frat house's party yard.
Not super well maintained apartment.
Not a lot of storage, had to buy a lot of furniture.
Nice remodeled kitchen but not so great bathroom.
Very close to the law school and Ross.

The best part of this apartment is it's literally two minutes away from Ross!

This is the closest apartment you can get to Ross. It is a slightly small apartment, but comfortably fits two people. The kitchen and the bathroom were recently renovated.

This is probably the closest building to Ross you can live in. It's literally a 30 second walk. It's also only about 10 minutes to state street/skeeps/BUS/etc. The loud music (sometimes early in the morning) on game days from the frat houses can be annoying sometimes. It's usually not too bad unless it's a noon game. The utility cost is pretty reasonable, especially compared to the house I lived in first year. Proximity to Ross, especially during cold winter days, makes up for really any other shortcoming this apartment has. The area is also pretty well lit, so I have always felt safe.

The building is insanely close to Ross and has parking available. Building is much nicer inside than it looks from the outside. The landlord charges too much for rent given the availability of Munger. He is also very stubborn given how many vacancies he had open this past year. generally mgmt is responsive to maintenance requests, but like all ann arbor landlords they will press you to resign almost immediately after moving in. this behavior should be illegal, but it is not. Also they were unnecessarily inflexible with the move in date, which was September 1. This was a pain in the ass because orientation starts in August, and the building was vacant in August.
