Villas at Main Street reviews and highlights
- great apartment layout with spacious living rooms
- close to public transit
- responsive maintenance staff
Excellent, but far
Lake Village has great apartments. They are spacious, clean and new (management changes carpe and paints walls every year). It is pet friendly and close to a good supermarket. It takes 15 min to go to Ross by bus. If you are single or have an active social live, it will require few uber rides (buses stop at 9 pm).

Above expectation
The apartment is great.
It has a lot of space, bedrooms are pretty big and everything works fine.
The complex has a gym and a swimming pool (which is cool but you probably use it for 2 or 3 weeks per year - given the internship period)
. Bus routes are close and it doesn't take more than 25 minutes to get to Ross, including the walking time to the bus station.
There is a supermarket right in front of the apartment complex and zipcars are within walking distance (20 minutes).
My only complaint is that if you live in the first or second floor, upstairs neighbors can get a bit noisy. If possible, trying to get a 3rd floor apartment would be a solution.
If you choose lake village, make sure that you carefully select the building in which you want to live. Consider the distance to the Gym, supermarket, bus stop, and trash disposal (remember that you have to walk there during the winter if you don't own a car)

Spacious apartment close to bus stop to UM
Great floor plan, close to UM bus stop, new apartments, a lot of storage space, car ports and closed garage available. Gym and pool on site, great staff, admin services very good.

Great place for Rossers looking for a calmer place
We have a very comfortable and spacious apartment at Lake Village. Management promptly help with any maintenance issues (one night we had them opening our apartment at 1am because we have lost the key). Only problem is if you have loud upstairs neighbors.

One Bedroom Lake Village
Rate Lake Village 7/10. Pros: quiet, nice community; free gym access (with small weights); free pool access; walking distance to several bus stops, grocery store, vet. Cons: distance to campus and bars/restaurants, expensive, variation of quality appliances across apartments, noise/light from soccer stadium (depending on where you live).
Overall: great place if you have a car, have a family, are looking for a quiet neighborhood, have a dog (any size), and want some space.

Solid option
Lake Village has been a great apartment. My unit is fairly large (roughly 900 sq ft) and includes a personal garage, full sized washer/dryer and plenty of storage. The units are fairly new and are very well maintained. The staff is responsive to any issues and the area is quiet. A grocery store, dry-cleaner, coffee shop, and CVS are across the street. Michigan Stadium is within walking distance (about a mile away). For me, Lake Village's only major downside (aside from the slight price premium) is that it is not convenient to get to Ross. It is ideal for someone with a car (though I know people who live here who take the bus).

Good house, poor infrastructure
The house is pretty big and has all you need. The rooms are beautiful and the kitchen, closet and living rooms are good.
However, other facilities such as the club house and the gym are simple and provide only the minimum necessary.

MT
Great apartment, close to grocery store, biggest mall in town, and varsity tennis court and golf course. Only concern is the price.
