Great location, decent price
The apartment buildings here are a great location (between the yard and the big house), and the price is reasonable. However, you'll have to pay extra for off-street parking and even then management will kick you out of the parking spot on game days. The walls are quite thin, but there's a good MBA community here. It's a mix of couples and singles who want to be near Ross/the yard but who don't want the noise/price.

823 Brown St
Apartment is spacious. Minor cosmetic issues and the building is older, but in very good condition still. Convenient access to Ross and Yard/618 at very affordable price.

Brown Street Upgraded Unit
Solid space and good value - lots of Ross people in the building and within a couple blocks.

Convenient location at a fair price
We've had a good experience renting our place at 818 Brown st. The building is quick 12 min walk from Ross and 10 mins from the football stadium. Our block is almost entirely graduate students, many of whom attend Ross. We've enjoyed the shared sense of community and communicate neighborhood matters through a 'Brown Street' GroupMe chat (e.g. package delivered to the wrong building). Would recommend for someone who's looking for decent housing but doesn't want to pay prices charged at The Yard or 618.

Spacious, great location
The apartment is not the nicest you’ll find, but it is a good price for the location and size

Good value
Newly renovated apartment with a sizeable kitchen and bedrooms. Great community with 6 units and almost all MBA students. However, the building is old, so shared things like the laundry are a pain. We’ve complained about it to the landlord a few times, but our clothes come out dirty. Overall though, good value for our unit. Great location, although a pain to get anywhere on game days.

Brown Street Review
Brown Street is a great place to live for MBA students. There's a good core group of us in this area, and it's nice to have that community. It's also close to the Yard and 618, where a lot of people live. Additionally, it's pretty close to Ross as well, with about a 15 minute walk. The places are being updated one by one, which is also nice and gives a more modern feel to older apartments.

Living on Brown Street
Best Value in Ann Arbor (In my opinion).
The apartment is clean and well maintained.
Management is exceedingly nice and friendly.
Convenient location to Ross, restaurants, the Yard, the Bus, and the Big House.
You'll hear the band practice and the train sometimes, but it is not as bad as some people make it out to be. I've never been woken up by either.
There were a few problems with the heat at first; however, management brought over space heaters and it was fixed in a few days.
Parking will be filled up on game day, so don't expect to use your car.
Overall, I've very much enjoyed living here.

Super convenient location, spacious apartment, older building
Great location - 15 min walk to Ross, central campus, downtown; 5 min walk to the stadium
Safe building - two doors
Unit - spacious, lots of room in living room/kitchen, but is an older building so it's less updated than other newer buildings
No pets allowed

Convenient, no frills accommodation, good value
Clean and decent housing in a relatively quiet area with 10ish minute walk to Ross and 15ish minute walk downtown. Apartments are a good size for 2 people, but one of the bedrooms is significantly bigger than the other bedroom. Some units include a parking space and some don’t - definitely try to negotiate for a parking spot if you have a car as on street parking can be hard to find (especially on game day).
