618 South Main reviews and highlights
- brand new building
- great amenities
- conveniently located close to downtown Ann Arbor
- nice gym
Escape the undergrads and live happily with your pets!
618 may be pricey, but it has been worth every penny, especially since we've had to be inside more during COVID. The Management is great, the amenities are unparalleled, and it's a building for grownups rather than a dorm (cough cough, Yard).

618 South Main Review
Best place to live if you want a quiet, amenity building

Way better than Foundry Lofts
Last year we lived in Foundry, which was more expensive for less space. That place was poorly run and filled with undergrads. We moved to 618 S Main since some friends lived in the building. It's predominantly grad students, professionally run, and not at all stressful to live in. And it has the best dogs in town. Plus, we have a view of the Big House.

Great Location and Amenities
Very safe building, full of MBAs. It is also close to the Yard and Hill Street, where many other MBAs live. Only issue with the building is the cell reception is not great.

One of the best options honestly
While the rent is insanely high, especially for this small town (for those of us who come from big coastal cities), it's honestly one of the best options. They have a clubhouse, complementary coffee machine that makes all kinds of flavored lattes, complementary donuts every Friday, a gym, underground garage, 3 outdoor firepits with big cushioned seating, a decently sized pool/spa combo with lounge chairs outdoors in the warmer months, a conference, a printer/scanner with 10 free b&w prints per month, and a lending library with books for leisure reading. I live in a 600+ sq ft studio which is really large. I will say the windows aren't the most insulated as many resident units are still chilly even with the heater on.

Expensive, but nice
You're going to pay more than you want, but it's nice to live in a well managed property with all of the amentities. The fire pits have been a god save during COVID and cold weather. I really like this apartment, but it's expensive.

Would Recommend... but Expensive
618 has good amenities (gym, pool, fire pits, etc.) and is easily walkable to campus and downtown. The building is quiet with its concrete walls and has plenty of natural light. Only downside is the high cost.

618 S Main
618 is a great place to live. The amenities are what sets it apart from other student housing in Ann Arbor (e.g., gym, coffee/espresso machine, in-unit washer and dryer, pool, firepits, events with food and drink hosted by the building). The only downside is it's on the pricier side of housing options in Ann Arbor.

618 South Main
I’ve enjoyed living here so far. There are a lot of amenities and building staff are overall pretty good. I appreciate being close to Ross and other MBAs (so location is good) but not at the very heart of the social scene. It’s also super nice that They’ve also been trying to reinvigorate the building activities lately with yoga, a wine and cheese night, a pizza night, pumpkin carving, grab-and-go breakfast, etc., which is nice. It’s definitely on the more expensive side here but I think you get what you pay for
