First apartment out of undergrad - minimal issues
Contempo NOVA is located in a great area. The blue line metro is a 5-10 min drive/20-min walk. There is a bus stop less than a 5-min walk away near the property. DC is a 25-min metro away. There are several stores that sell basic items nearby, and LA Mart and Safeway are both within a 5-min drive away. Walkability is great, especially considering Van Dorn St is a busy main road. There is also 2 pools, 2 gyms, 1 game room, and underground parking on the property which all add to the convenience. The only things I would caution others about are the $25 trash valet fee applied to rent (which I think is dumb) and the possibility of moving into an apartment that has been lived in/worn down. Maintenance cleans the carpets for new move-ins, but the small stains and worn down materials don't go unnoticed. Overall, not bad.

Great Find
This place is a great find. Parking in the garage is extra but very convenient. Street parking is very limited. The Starbucks is right downstairs and convenient in the morning and there is plenty to do nearby. Complimentary shuttle service to the metro is also available.
