Great deal

Very safe area, lots of options for dining, accessible to multiple subway stations, great management services. Very satisfied with linking in this building.

Absolutely Disgusting

Absolutely disgusting place to live. We moved in August of 2022 and initially were really happy with the apartment and management. Little did we know we were not the only ones living in it. This building has a HORRIBLE cockroach problem. It is absolutely infested and the management refused to help us with the issue. We put in at least 5 service requests and every time they said they would address it, they would come in and spray basic RAID spray in a couple corners and leave. We desperately need a professional exterminator, especially when it spread to our lofted BEDROOM area, but they would not do anything to help us. To put the cherry on top, upon moving out I specifically asked the management if I should patch up the holes in our walls from small screws. They told me if it was less than the diameter of a dime I would not be charged anything. Low and behold my move out invoice include a $300 dollar fee for the spackling!! They also charged me another $300 for a quoted $130 easy move cleaning service. Best part is when I followed up inquiring about these fees, management ghosts me and stops responding to my emails. Absolutely horrible experience with this building stay away at all costs.

Highly recommend!

I love living here. The staff is super friendly and responsive with maintenance requests. Very clean building with recently renovated units and common spaces. We are so close to so many Subway stops that getting around Manhattan and Brooklyn is super easy and convenient.

Highly recommend!

Great proximity to subway, literally steps from the door, and commute to campus only takes 20 minutes or so. Neighborhood is very clean and has been pretty quiet since many people are not working in-person still. There is currently some remodeling construction in the building so occasional noise from that. Laundry room is very clean and reasonably priced. Huge windows in apartment and full-size appliances. Staff is very friendly and helpful, and service requests completed next day (in my experience, minor repair only).

We love 71 Broadway

We love our large studio apartment at 71 Broadway. We have lived her for 3 years and the management and front desk staff are very friendly and attentive. We will be sad to leave when our lease ends (the rent is going up too high for us). Love the sunlight that streams in from our windows overlooking the church next door and the high ceilings!

Slightly misleading pricing

The apartment building itself is very well-located (entrance to downtown 4/5 in the building, uptown is just across the street, just a few minutes' walk to 2/3 station). The staff are very friendly and maintenance requests are responded to quickly. Biggest complain is that you are not told until late in the application process that stated rent does not include water, sewer, etc and other utilities that are usually covered in similar NYC apartment buildings (of course, electricity isn't included but that's fairly standard). This drives the actual monthly cost of living in this building up by a significant amount. Gym is ok - clean and well-maintained, but somewhat lacking in variety. There is also a pool table. Laundry in building and you can use cash or card.

The neighborhood is quiet and has a community feel. There are a few undergraduate schools (Pace and Kings) but it does not feel like they dominate the area. It is mostly occupied by young couples and small families. Lots of schools in the area. Quiet and residential, but with the feel of a city. The neighborhood can be expensive, but you get a lot for your money. A lot of the restaurants in the area are on the more expensive side.
Love Fidi - it is quiet, great bars/restaurants, and you can get a good deal on rent.
Living in the FiDi was a great transition for a small town girl moving to the big city! Pretty much everyone goes home by 6 which leaves the streets quiet. The financial district is the part of the city that sleeps. There's multiple affordable grocery shops in the neighborhood, great dining on Stone St and it's home to the charging bull and The World Trade Center!
I love living in the Fidi. It's close to every public transportation, you can walk East or West quickly. It's growing in ways I don't love, and I worry that it's just going to be one big mall soon.
The neighborhood may not have the hottest bars or cheap eats, but your access to almost every subway line makes it easy to get places.
Kind of dead at night and weekends, but feels very safe and the quiet is nice. Also very transit-accessible, which is great.
Nice neighborhood, very quiet, close to many bars and restaurants and close to Fulton St transportation.
Safe, barely any noise at night. The only problem is the closest grocery store is a 10 min walk away.
