Noise from neighbors and barking dogs will drive you crazy
Terrible/non-existent soundproofing and the management does not address noise complaints. They simply (say that) they issue lease violations (I am still wondering whether these have any actual implications; management will not answer what the implications are) to the tenants that make noise (dog barking day and night) for 6+ months. Still no solution to the issue.

Spacious Apartments in a Fun Area
Very spacious apartment, with generous sized bedrooms. Laundry in building and lots of amenities within the complex including basketball courts and outdoor gym. StuyTown Cafe and Library also within the complex. Fun neighborhood with lots of great bars and restaurants within a 10 minute radius. Also across the street from Trader Joe's, CVS, and the L 1st Ave stop.
The L can be a pain to rely on, but the 14th St. bus is efficient and Union Sq is a 10-12 min walk away.

Nice apt in parklike setting
Stuytown is nice and quiet because it has a small park in the middle and doesn't feel like it is right in the center of a busy city. Management is prompt when we need something fixed. For the first year, internet is included for free.
