Great value

This is the best place for your money. The apartments are large and the amenities are fine. The gym is ok and the roof is fine. The people range from young college kids to professionals. The ceilings are so low in the flats. There is not that much sunlight in the apartments.

Great Place for Law Students

I've lived at the Loree Grand for almost 2 years now and am confident that it would be a great place to live for any law students considering it. The apartment stays quiet, but there is plenty to do in the area and the neighborhood keeps growing!

Friendly Staff, Friendly Neighbors and Great Location!

I love the Loree Grand. The staff who work in the leasing office are always helpful, as is the 24/7 concierge. The actual apartment we live in is very spacious and the rent is priced fair for the area. You can't beat the location - 2 blocks to Noma metro and 4 blocks to Union Station, with both a Harris Teeter and Giant within walking distance for quick grocery trips. It's also within walking distance to Union Market and all the H Street bars/restaurants. The only thing missing is a pool!

Solid and comfortable living experience

The Loree Grand is an extremely comfortable and easy building to live in. We have a nice sunny apartment with big rooms, a lovely little balcony, a gym downstairs and very responsive management. For our 1 bd with den + 1.5 bathroom, in a location within easy walking distance to the metro and the bars on H street I really think the value can't be beat! I doubt the amenities (such as the gym and roof deck) are as spiffy as some of the newer buildings, but they're certainly more than adequate for what we use them for.

Wonderful value

The Loree Grand might not be quite the newest or the swankiest apartment complex near the H St. corridor, and it might not have a rooftop pool (that you'd probably never use anyway), but it's easily the best value. The location is solid, the apartments are quiet (and the balconies large), the staffers are pros, and the gym gets the job done. It's pet friendly, and a great place to call home. Strongly endorse.

Conveniently Close to Union station

The Loree Grand is the perfect apartment for anyone who commutes to and from union station each day. I work in baltimore so the proximity to that and the grocery store makes it great. Residents are very friendly and the leasing office was very helpful during my move.

Good living at the Loree Grand

This has been a great experience for me during grad school. It's close to the red line metro and Union Station, as well as the H St corridor which boasts new restaurants and bars opening monthly and the impending launch of the H St trolley.

NoMa Reviews

I don't venture too far outside of the few blocks of NoMa because outside of the neighborhood isn't as safe. However, the city has done a lot to revamp the area in the past few years, so there are new restaurants and bars opening up. I also live right across the street from the metro, which makes the rest of the city much more accessible.
NoMa is approximately a 35 minute commute to GWU. However, my roommate works on the hill which is less than 10 minutes away. There is a Harris Teeter connected to the building so you don't even have to go outside in order to shop for groceries. The area is still up and coming, so some of the surrounding streets don't seem very safe. However, it is getting better each and every day and it is easy to avoid those streets.
It's an up and coming neighborhood though I live in the very nice part of it. It's rough across North Capitol, but there's nothing over there to go to so I never run into any issues. There's a big dog park as well as plenty to do and eat at Union Market.
Neighborhood is okay. Everything is walkable. Bars/restaurants/grocery stores are super close by. Parking is usually available. Super safe (just don't go near the NY Ave Wendys after dark)
NoMa is up and coming - there are not too many places to eat/socialize in the evenings but the neighborhood is close enough to H Street that you don't feel too stranded.
It's growing like crazy but seriously lacks on the dining/nightlife portion. I like the geography and with the REI opening I'm hoping the nightlife will shift as well.
Fairly safe, though I wouldn't roam around a lot at night. It's certainly a transitioning neighborhood. Lots of people with dogs, big and small.
Noma is a cool area with young professionals mainly and has a lot of food/bar options! It's about 30 min from campus via metro, 20 min driving, (don't walk to campus). The apartment itself is super safe, as is the immediately surrounding area. But it isn't safe to walk west of the area or too far north either.
