Perfect

This place is perfect! Besides looking pretty (hardwood floors, large open living room, a fireplace, private balcony facing Rock Creek Park, equal-sized bedrooms, mirrored closets, etc etc), Park Connecticut is very safe! We have a 24-hour concierge who receives our meals and packages. All of the concierges are really nice, just say hi and bye. The maintenance workers are also efficient and respond within one business day. Communication with the property manager about apartment updates is also great and at least weekly. Since the front lobby, gym, business office (with computers and a conference room) and property/ leasing managers’ offices are currently under construction, the building is serving *free* to-go meals! So in addition to being incredibly efficient, the people here are kind and considerate.

This place has a lot of pet owners so it’s definitely pet friendly. Park Connecticut is also right next to Sfoglina’s Pasta House, Giant, CVS, Starbucks, WAMU and the Van Ness UDC subway station. There’s also a Bank of America atm across the street and a Gold’s gym. There are several other businesses in the area as well, like a dry cleaners, Burger King, a pizza place, nail salon and bread bakery. Besides the helicopters, this place is very quiet and residential. Not much of a city.

Nice apartments, but expensive

I've enjoyed my time living at the Park Connecticut, but I know I'm going to have to move soon due to rent increases. The apartment is spacious and well maintained. Our maintenance requests were always handled quickly and management has been friendly overall. My biggest complaint is the awful construction noise that's right outside my bedroom window. It has often started as early as 4:30 in the morning, even though the company's noise permits don't allow them to begin until 7. Park Connecticut has been good about talking with the construction company to fix that as best as they can, but it's still been frustrating. The only reason I won't be able to stay is because of the rent increases. When we tried to renew the lease last year, they tried to increase our rent by $500. We negotiated that down, but it's still not sustainable for my husband and me.

Great for a couple

We are a couple and it's a little pricey but we like it a lot. It's two blocks from the Van Ness station, and within two blocks we have a grocery, bank, dry cleaners, produce market in the summertime. The apartment has a gym in the basement and a pool on the roof.
