Great location, Expensive
The location is great; I can ride the 70 bus to school in 8 minutes. This means I feel comfortable running home during the day to let my pup out before coming back to study. It's really been great for me as a pet owner.
The one downside to the location that you're not close to any grocery shopping. There are nice restaurants and bars within a few blocks, but general grocery shopping is at least 9-10 blocks away and you're carrying whatever you buy all that way. If you're shopping for yourself, you'll want a car or you'll want to be making a trip on the way home before you catch the bus.
It is expensive. The finishes in the apartment are pretty nice, the water runs hot and cold very well, and the views of the lake are great. Rooftop deck and gym are also great perks. I wish it were a little cheaper, of course, but to some extent you get what you pay for. Apartment I'm in also has very little storage, but you can rent a storage unit in the building for $40 per month which takes care of this if you have extra belongings.

East Lake Reviews
After three years in Eastlake, I have a new appreciation for neighborhoods like Capitol Hill, Queen Anne, and Wallingford, which are bustling and full of things to do. That said, I've been happy in Eastlake. It's an easy place to feel at home in - it's easy to get to know.
