Downtown Apartment

The Viktoria is in a lovely location. I can walk to work and many local shops. I am only one block away from the nearest and only Target in downtown Seattle. My apartment is great! Finishes are average to upscale. The only negatives would be that the apartment is small and I don't get much light due to a building across the alleyway from my only window.

Wonderful place to live

I've loved living at the Viktoria so far. I've been really impressed by how friendly and welcoming the concierge and the rest of the staff have been. The location really can't be beat (close to shops, restaurants, bars, and groceries) and the building feels very secure. I've been pleasantly surprised by how little noise I hear given that I'm living in the heart of downtown Seattle. That said, there has been ongoing construction on the parking garage but I haven't really been able to hear it from my apartment. I definitely have no regrets and would highly recommend the Viktoria.

Apartment Experience

Overall the apartment is up to my standards. I think that the quality of the apartment is great. However, a building went up right in front of my view so now I have little natural sunlight. The location is wonderful. Its close to transit and its right downtown so I can walk just about anywhere.

Downtown Seattle Reviews

8 reviews
Next to Target, Pike Place Market, Belltown restaurants along 2nd Avenue, Benoroya Hall and other cultural venues. Very professional crowd during daytime. Can get quiet at night. Some tourists on weekends. Some homelessness.
Always somewhere great to eat or drink open, and tons of entertainment options. Not so great with a kid, but a wonderful place to live otherwise (or if you don't mind driving to expose your child/pet to greenery). Much better than living in core downtown, since there are so many more entertainment benefits.
In the center of all of the Amazon buildings, so bars/restaurants/Whole Foods are full practically 24/7, but easy walk to the market, the stadiums, and convenient delivery services. I wouldn't recommend living here without a car.
New restaurants are also popping up like Skillet, Marination, Potbelly. Again, close to my work and the bus lines. Very close to Whole Foods too so that's convenient.
Pros: super close to offices if you work downtown. There are a lot of great restaurants in downtown, Belltown within walking distance. Grocery shopping is surprisingly easy with city Target and Kress nearby.

Cons: Lots of homeless people around. While most of them are harmless, occasionally one or two may try to pester you. Stay away from 3rd ave. Also - you are pretty much guaranteed to smell people smoking pot on the street if you walk around here. Some people on 3rd even look like they can sell you some. Well - it's legal, but still, not something I want my baby to get accustomed to...
We live on the outskirt of Belltown so we're a few blocks away from the action. This is a positive for us since it is relatively quiet but we're just a short walk from nightlife. The area is generally safe but I would avoid walking alone at night near Third and Bell.
This building is close to shopping and restaurants/ very safe area / there used to be minimum noise, however, there is construction of a building across the street, which is very noisy at night.
Expensive, but lovely
