West End

Very pet friendly. Kind staff, and quick maintenance. Fairly quiet environment. Events monthly to create a community feel.

West End Village

This apartment complex is located fairly close to Vanderbilt, but is still about a 30 minute walk from VUSN. The apartments are very spacious and were clean upon move in. However, we have had somewhat of a pest problem here and the management is not the best at communicating, nor are they very amicable. The pool is in the middle of the complex, so is at least partially or fully in the shade all day. The best thing about this apartment complex is its available parking and security.

Pretty good value

Our apartment is good value for the money. The complex doesn't have a great community feel-- the property company will boot your car if you park incorrectly in the garage, and has generally been inflexible to work with. However the apartment itself is well laid out and built with nice materials. Maintenance has been easy as well. This is however one of the many apartments in Nashville that was built almost overnight-- the walls are a bit thin and there's a feel that you're just one of a million people trying to rent an apartment here.

WEV is the place to be!

Great location and apartment complex. Close to Vandy, Belmont, Centennial park, Saint Thomas Midtown and West and much more. There is a pool, game room, gym and conference area which has a printer (free!) There is always adequate parking in our garage. Maintenance needs are taken care of in a timely manner. I have always felt safe with controlled access to the building. The common areas are kept very clean. There is a variety of families, young and old, students and business residents. Super pet friendly! Much suggested place to live

Good

Only issues have been some people (other college kids) being loud, especially on weekends. There was a weird fire alarm issue over winter where it'd go off at 2:00 and 3:00am, which was really annoying. Otherwise, everything has been good.

Good apartment but overpriced

It's a good apartment complex - everything I wanted in terms of friendly and reliable management, amenities, location and safety, but the price is insane. That could be a condition of the market and the city, but it's hard to swallow on a month-by-month basis.

West End

West End Village is a great place for an entrance into Nashville living. Just outside the craziness of downtown but close enough to get there for less than $5! There is lots of entertainment and things to do within walking distance of West End! The lobby staff is excellent however in the summer the pool atmosphere can feel a bit overwhelming and less like a relaxing day in the sun.

Great for Students!

Great place if you're looking for moderate rent in a great location. Close to different shops and Centennial - perfect if you have a dog because it's so close to the dog park!

Only complaints is that you can tell that the apartment complex was built very quickly - and as a result some things in the apartment aren't perfect. (Granite counter tops aren't sealed, carpet doesn't quite align with the wall). Parking underground is a little limited - which is only a problem when it rains/snows. Also there are at least four new complexes going up across the street which makes it rather noise and will probably crowd up street parking.

Management is very responsive to emails/phone calls and any problems are resolved within a day or two.

Getting around Midtown

Midtown Reviews

I am on the border of Midtown and Music Row so it feels very safe here, there is not tons of traffic which is nice when walking around and even driving whenever I get out in my car, and there is plenty to do with a bunch of restaurants and bars. There is even an outdoor concert every Monday at one of the bars across the street, so I can open my windows and just listen to live music when doing homework - I love it!
very fun atmosphere. Central to everything and lots of restaurants and shopping near by and very close to school. about a 5 minute drive
Everything is a short drive away (15 minutes or less). There are grocery stores, restaurants and bars in the areas so you aren’t missing out on the social experience. This is a more residential corner of the midtown area so you don’t hear traffic/ambulance noise even though there are freeways and hospitals nearby. Close to Centennial Park and Percy Warner Trails so if you enjoy the outdoors this is a nice area to be in.
Midtown is great if you want to live close to campus. Vibrant bar/restaurant scene and short walk to campus. Said "yes" to all the additional questions around safety, family/pet friendly, etc. but you also have to realize it's very much a party area. Division is very popular and as a result, you always have to watch your surroundings and be aware at all times.
Midtown is situated just next to Vanderbilt with tons of fun bars and restaurants
Lots of bars and food places, easy to walk around, safe, vibrant.
Restaurants nearby, quiet, close to gym. I really like it.
Very close to campus and plenty things around to do
