Great location, right next to vumc shuttle stop, quiet. Old building so some problems with maintenance

Solid apartment/building
Property manager is nice. The apartment itself is pretty no frills but well maintained. Some cardio equipment in a common area, which is convenient. Barring a sizable rent hike or a bad experience, I'll likely renew my lease. Bit of a walk to campus but I make it work. Also on a bus line that goes straight downtown.

Peaceful, charming, and close to the VUMC shuttle
Blackstone has old school charm and personality. It is near enough to walk to campus and a few restaurants (including 3 coffee shops), as well as Walgreens. The VUMC shuttle stops really close by every 15 minutes. There's a great view of a green area with trees which is also a great place to walk pets. Neighbors are great and the building has a peaceful atmosphere that's great for studying. My only complaints are high rent costs, but I couldn't find cheaper this close to campus. Parking for guests can be tricky as there's no dedicated guest spaces so they must park on street.

Good location, but definite cons
Blackstone is conveniently located. It takes 22 minutes to arrive at the hospital at a brisk walking pace. They are pet friendly! The biggest con is that they don’t have in unit laundry. It’s also an older building, and there aren’t enough plugs in the rooms.

I'm satisfied with this apartment.
Pros:
- pet friendly
- 20 minute walk or 20 minute bus ride
- located close to Vandy and i440
- gym in the basement
- good amount of storage space
- plenty of free parking
Cons:
- the walls are slightly thinner than I'm used too
- there are a lot of noisy young people in the hallways on the weekends
- no in unit laundry
- kitchen is a bit small; hardly any counter space
