This is a great location and has the best amenities. I love living here and it's super safe. The people are super nice. The spot is very convenient between work and night life. The building couldn't be any better. So grateful to have found this place.

Good Building, Little Character
I lived at Plaza 440 for about 9 months. I liked it very much for the convenience, and my view was amazing. However, as convenient as it is to many restaurants, I dislike River North and feel it is quite transient. I was eager to move back to a neighborhood. The gym was decent, but usually quite hot as it was attached to the pool. Management and staff was very friendly and helpful!

Great place to live.
Plaza 440 is all condos, so depends on when you are looking to move their might be a good deal. For 2500 my roommate and I got a great place in a great location. The apartment itself isn't incredible, but worth it for the $$$$

I like living here a lot!
The location is great, and within walking distance from my school. I feel close to Gold Coast/Old Town and close to the Loop. It is a touristy area, but it does help you to feel safe. Wish my apartment was updated--but its worth it to me to save on rent and still have a great location.

Good location
This high rise apartment building is in a very convenient downtown Chicago location, includes a lot of good amenities and has a very courteous and helpful staff. I would recommend this building to other working professionals my age in Chicago for sure.

Right off Michigan Ave.
Pros: Plaza 440 has a great location- right by the River and the loop, seconds away from Michigan Ave. and next to Hubbard. The residents range from young professionals to retirees living it up in the city. Condos are owned by individuals so the pet policy varies. A lot of condors are managed by NRS.
Great amenities, pool, theater room, gym. sauna room, hottub, cable, pool table. The building has top notch door professionals.
Cons: The management staff isn't the best. We had some belonging stolen when we moved in and they refused to give us security camera footage. No airbnb! They will fine you $1000+ if you use airbnb. So don't plan on making your rent that way. Make sure you start your lease on the 1st or last of the month. Sometimes they try to start it on the 11th so it's hard for you to find another place. The units have BA views of the city- million dollar views! But the units have old carpet and white appliances, owners don't care at all, just want that check. Also the amenities are shared with a hotel. That means 10 yr old girls with no shows will take over the gym and pool on the weekends. ALWAYS.

Great Location, Poor Building Management
If you work in River North, Streeterville, the Loop, this apartment is perfect for you. You can save a lot by not having to pay for public transit. The views in this building are spectacular, seriously amazing.
A major downside is the building is poorly run. Constant construction. Another major downside and factor in us not resigning a lease is that the amenities are shared with a hotel!! This means the pool, gym, hot tub, has at any given time, hundreds of strangers. As you probably know hotel guests do not really care about the amenities so the gym and pool are always a mess. The hotel is on Hubbard so it's a hotspot for bachelor parties, so because of that we only used the hot tub once and I'll leave to the imagination the awful things we found.......

River North Reviews
It's a sort of business district, so you're in the middle of all the skyscrapers, but they're all beautiful and nothing seems to block out the light. The riverwalk is gorgeous, and is especially fun to walk along on summer nights. It feels safe and secure.
There are so many places to go out to eat, we're spoilt for choice. That said, the cost of living downtown is pretty high. As much as with any big city like Chicago, e.g. New York.
