Overall rating 7.9/10, based on 10 renter reviews Write a review
Quiet, suburban setting, less than 10 mins to law school campus.
Overall, these apartments have been great! It’s very convenient to be less than a 10 min drive to the law school campus. Our apartment is very spacious (almost 800 square feet). It’s also great that we don’t have to pay for parking and have a recreation center membership included. Only difficulty is with public transport, but not too bad if you have a car.

Convenient, safe, and quiet area!
Lake Oswego is definitely quieter and more suburban. That can be a good thing if you're looking for a calm place to come back to and study! My partner and I have a very spacious 1bd/1ba apartment at Parkridge that is less than a 10 min drive to Lewis & Clark Law School and is similarly a short drive (10-20 mins) from most places in Portland that we frequent. We have loved the management company - they've been very responsive and accessible. While we do pay for all utilities, we don't pay for parking (off-street parking) and we get a membership to the local rec center, as well as other great amenities (smaller gym, pool, sauna, etc.). The neighborhood is very safe and the people have all been quite friendly. We plan to live here throughout the time that I'm at the law school.

Great location comes at a cost.
I have loved living here. It is right next to a beautiful little neighborhood trail which makes you feel like you’re deep in the woods, I have friendly, quiet neighbors who don’t bother me at all, it is renovated so it feels new, the patio is a huge added bonus, and you don’t have to pay for parking because there are always plenty of open spots. The biggest qualms I have about it is that I think it is overpriced for what you get but that’s what you get for living in this neighborhood and that utilities are expensive. Nothing is included so I pay for rent AND water/sewer/electric/cable. I will also say that the water and sewer fees seem way more expensive than what they should be so that is frustrating. Also be warned that if the complex decides to do construction of some sort, you pay for it.

Clean, friendly apartment complex
This apartment is great, but it is expensive, and they have raised rent considerably. The deluxe studio is the perfect size for someone living alone - it is basically a small one bedroom, rather than a typical "studio." The actual studio is VERY small, more like a college dorm. The apartments are clean, though, and well maintained. The convenience in its proximity to the law campus is what makes me stay here. You also get free access to a fairly nice gym up the road, which also has an indoor pool and workout classes.

Good Location
Close to Lewis and Clark. About 2-3 miles away, and the cost is as to be expected for this part of Portland. Public transportation is limited, and i would not recommend biking to and from campus from this location as the roads are hilly and lack bike lines. Overall good price, and management is willing to communicate with residents regarding issues.

Great
These apartments are clean & well kept. They are quite expensive, if living alone. However the 2+ bedrooms are easily affordable if you share rent. The deluxe studio is more like a small one bedroom apartment. Apartment has a gym & pool. Plus up the street you get free access to a nicer gym that also has an indoor pool & group classes. Also it's very close to the law school so quite convenient.

Small, but the amenities are nice, and it's very quiet
There is enough space in the 1 bedroom for two of us and a dog, but storage is limited. the balcony is nice and you can store stuff out there if needed. Landlords are always doing some construction but they give you notice and are out of the way for the most part. Close to a big complex with everything you could possibly need, and close to a bus stop that takes you to the bottom of the hill near school.

Meh
Really depends on what you want from where you're going to live. We picked Parkridge because it was close to campus, and the law school ran a shuttle that stopped at the complex. Now the shuttle is gone, so I'm dependent on carpooling to get to class. There's nothing amazing, but nothing too terrible about Parkridge, though people should definitely be aware that they're doing some type of maintenance on the controlled access buildings every week.
