Boulder Creek Apartments

Boulder Creek is expensive relatively but it’s also less than 10 minutes biking from the law school, has a ton of green space, and is great for pet owners because all apartments are walk out. It’s also across the street from King Soopers so you almost never have to drive. You can pay for parking but free street parking is very accessible. NCAR and the trails along the flatirons are within 1 mile of the complex.

I found the maintenance staff very responsive. The complex is very quiet but people are friendly. It’s definitely focused on working adults and families instead of students.

Interiors are nice - uncarpeted and clean.

Boulder Creek is a great place to live!

Management is very responsive and is done by a tenant who actually has an interest in the community being well kept. The pools, gym, and hot tub are well-kept and actively maintained. Apartments are cleaned and they don't do tours with tenants still living there/actually present in the unit while you're touring (like lots of others in the area). It is also quiet, in a convenient area, and great for pets. The apartments are also smart homes, so all light switches, thermostats, and the front door lock can be controlled from an app which is super convenient.

Loving it so far

My partner and I moved in about two months ago and we love it so far. Being close to the King Soopers is wonderful and we love being in the quieter part of Boulder; away from the campus but close enough that the commute is manageable. The property is great and we haven't had any issues that haven't been addressed right away.

Great apartment in great area

While I have run into some notable problems at first with management giving us a different apartment then we expected, they have resolved everything and we are loving our apartment. The area has great views, close to NCAR, and lots of shops and places to eat within walking distance. Only 7 min away from classes, and relatively cheap parking ($25 monthly).

Great Place to Live

Boulder Creek Apartments is a great choice. Convenient to school and a nice hiking trail that has cows on it. Right across from a King Soopers! Pet friendly and has pools, a gym, a dog park, and a business center where you can print. Really the only thing to watch out for is that there are various other charges on top of rent that add to the monthly price.

Expensive but good

The place is really nice. I'm getting what I pay for--I'm just paying a lot.

Nice, But Overpriced

Boulder Creek apartments are very nice. The apartments themselves are clean and in good condition, though the apartments and appliances are definitely dated for the price you pay. The location is extremely convenient, as it is right across the street from a large shopping area with a grocery store and bus stops, enabling easy travel to campus and to Denver. My experience with management has always been pleasant, and maintenance is very quick to respond to problems.

The biggest issue with Boulder Creek is that the apartments are insanely expensive: I am currently paying over $1,500 per month for a 500 square-foot studio. That price includes base rent (~$1420), some utilities (not electric, cable, or internet), and pet rent ($70/month). I understand that housing in Boulder isn’t cheap, but the cost of these apartments is far higher than it should be. On top of this, my rent has increased consecutively each year that I have been here— I am now paying $80 more per month than I was when I first moved in two years ago, and this trend shows no signs of stopping or slowing down.

Nice, conveniently located, but over-priced

Apartments are clean, well-kept, and in good repair. Location is right across the street from a shopping center with a grocery store and everything else one could need. The Table Mesa area of Boulder is very pretty, very safe and family/pet-friendly. However, paying over $1400/month purely for rent for a 550-square foot studio apartment is insane. Pet rent is a ridiculous $70 for both cats and dogs. Add to this that my monthly rent will increase by $40/month next year, and one can understand how truly over-priced Boulder rental property is. Eventually, rental property will be so expensive that no one will be able to live here.
