Close to school
This is a great apartment if you are looking for a place that is relatively cheap and close to campus. It's an 8 minute drive from the law school and is in a quiet neighborhood. The complex is mostly young families and the managers are very responsive. There is a large pool, a gym, a dog park, a volleyball pit, a playground, and multiple outdoor grills for resident use.

Tuckahoe Creek Apt. Review
Good location next to hospital and UR. Publix and Walmart are within 5 minutes. Very safe, I've had packages delivered that were left outside and never have been taken. Parking is never a problem. The pool availability during the year could be longer.

It’s okay. Good for a cheap place
Frequent problems with appliances. Have to bring your own lighting for bedrooms and Living room. AC is inefficient

Review of Tuckahoe Creek
The reasonable price of the apartment and its proximity to the University of Richmond are major plusses to the property. There is a communal pool on the complex that has plenty of seating. The property even has communal grills for anyone having a social gathering. The apartment is a decent size and has washing and drying machines in the unit. However, the AC unit struggled to keep the unit cool during the summer and early fall. We have also had to call maintenance multiple times regarding the appliances.

Tuckahoe Creek Review
Overall not the best but not the worst. We have a great view of the pool and the gym is right across the way as well. We both enjoy the gym very much as it is never crowded or busy. The pool is also nice in the summer.
Come Labor Day the whole pool will be closed and you can't sit near it.
We have a front facing apartment so we get lots of light in the afternoon.
The bathrooms and kitchens are good, nothing spectacular. We live on the 2nd floor and the floors are very creaky here so we hear every step that our upstairs neighbors take. Unfortunately both our downstairs and upstairs neighbors smoke and we occasionally get the odors in our apartment. We also get all the ashes from our upstairs neighbor's smoking on our deck, when they smoke outside. The decks look nice but it depends on who your neighbors are because if they're out on their deck too, you will hear them and possibly get their smoking ashes if they smoke.
We have had some roaches and 2 mice. We caught one mouse but the other one still lives in the ceiling above us and between our neighbor. We hear him moving around quite frequently. Both mice came in when it got cold and we hadn't had any issues with them until November. Maintenance is great and comes out within 48 hours although the pest control guy is worthless and can't do much about roaches or mice. The leasing office is just okay. They're nice but are somewhat unhelpful, especially with the mice issues, and they won't take the time to return your calls, you'll just get an email instead.

Great Staff, Kinda Old
The apartments are relatively nice, they just feel old because you can hear the floors squeak and you can tell on doors and doorframes they've repainted a lot because it chips easily. We have also had a real problem with roaches and have had 2 mice which I am not a fan of at all. The staff is really good about getting people out to do pest control and fill holes and stuff. Overall it's not a bad place to live, but they could make some improvements to the place to make it a little nicer.

Good
Some issues with noise, but in a nice area. It is a straight shot to school, so commuting it easy. Lots of friendly people in the complex

Tuckahoe Creek Apartments
Generally, I really like living at Tuckahoe Creek. The apartment is nice, very spacious and a good value for the rent and there is plenty of free lot parking. There is an alarm system included with every apartment which is nice if safety is a concern for you. The staff are very nice and maintenance responds quickly. My only complaint is that no utilities are included in the rent so it kind of feels like they stack a bunch of fees on for no reason, like trash, pest control, alarm system and "service" as well as water. Electricity, gas and internet must be set up independently. Other than that, the facilities are nice (I only briefly used the pool due to COVID and it was nice and I've never been to the gym) and I would recommend it.

Review
The location to campus and convenience of parking are fantastic! The balcony, size of the space for the price, and the "nice enough" interior of the apartment are also pluses. The office staff can be less than helpful and frustrating. The fact that they are bound by the rent regulations and move-in procedures of a large and far-removed corporation is also irritating at times. The walls and floor are very thin; our heavy-footed neighbor upstairs has been problematic as of late.
