Great Property - EXTREMELY Far from the City
PROS...
Love the actual apartment itself. Maintenance and front desk are extremely polite and responsive. Property is brand new, so there is no damage to any of the fixtures or rooms. Amenities (pool, gym, pickleball court, study rooms, hot tub, grill stations, etc.) are all amazing. You're in the heart of the suburbs, so everything you could ever need is within a 5-minute drive. Very family friendly, with families often meeting at the pool over the weekend. Property is surrounded by a gate that residents need to scan through with either their phone or a parking badge. Feels very secure.
Cons...
People drive like bats out of hell on Highway 6 immediately outside of the apartment. Disregard what Google Maps says your commute will be. From 6:30 - 9:00 AM and 4:00 - 7:00 PM, it will take somewhere around 1 hour and 15 minutes to get downtown. It takes at least 20 minutes just to drive 5 miles down to 290. While the area has a lot of restaurants and retail stores, it severely lacks a social scene and third spaces (like libraries).
