Stonewood Apartments

Stonewood is a pretty quiet property which is nice, and its a 5 minute drive from HSC. It's a 5 minute walk from the football stadium which is nice on game day. It's inexpensive, but there is $35/month fee for pets. No utilities are included, besides the pool (which is very nice) & gym. Metro also offers military discount, so I save 10% on rent each month. I've had no issues with getting responses to maintenance issues. It also includes washer/dryer and dishwasher within the units. The big con is its almost entirely carpet and it isn't as "aesthetically" nice looking (no granite countertops or hardwood floors). It was also very clean when we moved in.

It is a strong residence. I have had no problems living here at all.

Pros:
-Generally up to date appliances
-Includes Washer and Dryer
-Quiet family friendly area; don't have to worry about others partying around you
-Walls are not thin; Only time I ever hear other residents is when my upstairs neighbor vacuums.
-Has a pool and a gym
-Plenty of parking
-Feels like a safe place
-Guest parking is always available

Cons:
-Farther from campus than some others (1.1 mile walk when compared to say Georgetown which is a 0.7 mile walk)
-Gym is generally small
-Some units are on the 3rd//4th floor and there is no elevator (however you get to choose what floor you are on)
-Not a lot of storage in the apartment; closets are good size and there is some space in the laundry room; but not much else is available
