Great place to live
I love my apartment. The walls are thick and I can hardly hear my neighbors, so I live in peace. We got a new Manager in May and she has made this place great by giving us cool updates like a free printer and we now have monthly events and a newsletter. The utilities aren't included but at least you know that upfront. My electric bill is normally like $50 monthly which is good for me. There is a free Wash U shuttle I use to take to campus.

Nickel & Dime
They want you to pay for everything separately like a subscription model so it feels like your rent is actually $200 over what the actual quote is. $80/m for parking, $40/m for water and garbage, $30 for parking your bike, and $30/m for a pet. It can be a bit annoying. Though most of these additional prices are optional, there are cheaper apartments that include these for less.
Lastly, the property could use more storage space for the upper level rooms facing Forest Park.

You could live better somewhere else
The building is new, but the services are not that satisfied considering the rent i paid. Ok if nothing happens, really annoying if something does happen.

The Residences at Delmar Divine
The apartment is a little less than a 20 min. drive to the law school. It is very clean and has very nice staff. The apartment has a very eclectic group of tenants that makes for a good experience.
The building is very close to the Clayton area, Central West End, STL Zoo, and the Delmar Loop. I would say that it is not in the nicest part of town but it is also still very safe. The building itself is very safe with security at night and a gated parking lot (that you do have to pay for). Further, there have been no issues with safety since I moved in.
The apartment is also very pet friendly. But, the pet area is not the biggest. Your pets can use the grassy areas in the parking lot or outside of the entrance. However, my dog and I have found this to be completely fine.
I personally did not want to live downtown, I thought the apartment were all a little expensive and I had heard that the area could be dangerous on the weekends. So, I think if you are a student wanting to live outside of the downtown area, I would highly recommend this complex.
My only complaint is that the bedrooms are a little small. The living area is huge however so I do think this falls into personal preference. I tend to only use my room to sleep so I have found no problem with the size. But, this is something to consider if you want a larger bedroom.
