Grant Street

The apartment was recently sold to Tempo Properties. Tempo is in the process of remodeling, but there is currently damage to the balconies, walk railings, and it is not handicap accessible. There is not enough parking for each apartment in the complex, so a street parking permit is required. Tempo is not very responsive towards tenant lifestyle and community; they do not enforce parking permit requirements in the complex, do not respond to tenant community violations or conflicts, and are slow to respond to communication. You're essentially on your own once you sign the lease, apart from maintenance. They don't monitor/visit the complex except to show units to new tenants.

It can be noisy at night during the school year because it is a heavily undergraduate area, but it is a 10-15 minute walk from the law school and 5-10 minutes from downtown. The electric generally runs $85--$110 per month, but that may change if appliances are upgraded during the remodel. The apartments are small but suitable for 1 person or a couple. It is an older building, so you can hear your neighbors but most tenants keep to themselves.
