Not a palace, but perfectly fine
Easy to communicate with landlord. I've had a few issues that were resolved quickly--even got a brand new fridge and oven. No laundry in building.

I love the apartment, but it definitely has some quirks. I live in the basement unit, so it's pretty short (but I'm also short, so it's never bothered me). There is still lots of light even though it's a basement unit. There is no dishwasher or laundry, so that is a drawback. The landlord is wonderful and really responsive, and I know she's been slowly updating my unit and the other units in the house. It's also a great deal for the amount of space that you get to live alone in Ann Arbor.
