Laurel Ave Apartments
Proximity to the Law School is incredible! Can't beat it! Though you have two allotted parking spots, parking is a hassle and there are very few guest spots. My biggest problem is with the neighbors, as they play loud music late into the night. The utilities seem high as well, water and electric.

3B/2B: Reasonably Priced, Near Campus, and Has A Balcony
I think this property is a pretty good property, and it's close to campus and reasonably priced! It's also less than a mile to downtown Knoxville. There's one master bedroom with a walk-in closet and bathroom. There are two bedrooms with a full bathroom nearby. One bedroom has a walk-in closet, and the other gets wonderful sunlight. There's a washer and dryer in the unit, and the appliances are all pretty new. There's carpet in the bedrooms, and the rest is laminate. There's also a wonderful little balcony with bamboo to make it feel cozy (even while in the middle of a city!). We also have a great landlord who's been very kind and responsive to us. Kroger is about 7-10 minutes away, and it's never too bad to get to other stores.
There are some legitimate drawbacks. As a graduate student, there's a lot of undergraduates that throw parties on various days/times. It's not too bad except a few random nights in the semester. There's not a ton of storage space (other than the closets), so that's a bummer. It's also a bit dark in the apartment, and the parking situation is pretty rough. There's two assigned spots for each apartment (which has three bedrooms), and the lot itself is very small and tight. There's been several accidents in the lot. I've avoided the problem by parking on the street, and I've never had any issues (other than struggling to find parking on Friday/Saturday nights). Our apartment block also seems very safe, but I've heard about people a few blocks away having issues with safety.

Good Apartment, Close to Campus, Undergraduate Population
My roommates and I are graduate students living in this apartment complex. We like the apartment itself, and its location is very close to campus. We have a balcony, and there is (usually) ample street parking. There are two spots available in the parking lot for each unit, so one tenant will likely park on the street. It's around a mile from Market Square, and it's maybe half a mile from Cumberland/the Strip. Each room has a pretty spacious closet. Two bedrooms share one bathroom, which has two sinks. The master is very spacious with its own bathroom and walk-in closet. On one side of the complex, the Sunsphere is visible. On the other side, there is some bamboo.
However, this is located in a mainly undergraduate area. There is a frat house close by, and one can occasionally hear sirens from the local hospitals and fire station. It's nothing excessive, but this apartment is definitely located in a city. Undergraduates also occasionally throw parties or play music loudly. Depending on where the apartment is located within the complex, there might not be much sunlight in the apartment.
