Location

Living at Canal 1535 overall has been good! Some of my favorite perks are the free coffee bar, the conference room, and business room with a free printer. Every apartment also has a washer/dryer, dishwasher, and it seems like every apartment has a balcony, something unique among most of the apartments in downtown NOLA. Lastly, it is a 5-15 minute walk to the downtown Tulane campus, so I don’t have to worry about paying for another parking garage. My only cons are even though it’s technically in the CBD, you feel pretty removed from the CBD. There also is a lot of homeless people close by, so you have to be extra alert when walking to and from the building.

Not bad

It is a little bit expensive, but worthy. Close to the Tulane, 24/7 security and tidy community space.

1535 Canal

New apartments, a rarity in New Orleans, and very close to the medical school and downtown buildings. Rent is on the high side but parking is included and the convenience is hard to beat.

it's the closest place to Hutch, and for someone without a car its the best option.

Great new apartment building close to campus

This apartment is brand new, opening in 2020. Management is great and very responsive. It is a step away from Murphy and walking distance from the patient sim center and Hutchinson. They have events every other week for the residents to get to know each other. There is also free parking! It is very dog friendly with an indoor dog park! So you won't have to go outside when its pouring. There is also a beautiful pool that is heated in the winter and can be used all year round! Pest control is included in rent. 24 hour door man (who knows the residents) adds to safety factor as well as a fully enclosed garage (parking is on each floor) and there is a garage door for safety. Also, my favorite perk is they have valet garbage pick up right at your door every day of the week
