Overall rating 8.0/10, based on 6 renter reviews Write a review
very nice but over priced
I really enjoy the area - that was my main reason for renting. You’re close to many activities in Baton Rouge, and far enough away from the university that you don’t deal with undergraduates (specifically the loudness that happens in more undergrad populated apartment complexes). I enjoyed this complex because it had a large dog park, pool, and fitness room. It became too expensive for me to afford, but I still enjoyed living in that area. If you are part of a couple splitting a one bedroom, you should check out this complex! It would be much more affordable splitting with 2 people.

Peace and Quiet
Although it's a bit far from campus, ~20 minute drive, it's incredibly quiet and peaceful. The gym is amazing and almost always completely empty. The pool is also great. SoLou and Olive-or-Twist are fantastic restaurants just on the other side of the gate. The walls are thick and the neighbors are mostly older and friendly. The management is the shining star and they are exceptional. Work orders completed same day, very responsive to questions.

Good!
The management here is decent. The maintenance workers are diligent for the most the part. They are really nice as well. They do keep the property clean.

Great apartments
This is a great apartment to live in. I love the location, I feel very safe as I live alone. They have recently renovated on the inside and the new updates are great! The pool and the gym are great. It is a little further from campus but the drive is easy!

Decent Pricing, 15 minute drive to LSU without Traffic
My favorite thing about these apartments is the location. It is walking distance to Olive or Twist & there is a gate to Perkins Park directly from the property; 5 minutes away from Our Lady of the Lake Hospital; 10 minutes from Perkins Rowe & Trader Joes, and about 15 minutes away from the mall, Costco, Target, LSU campus, Mid City, and more. Since the apartment complex is a little further away from campus than other housing, there tends to be more adults living there, so it is more quiet than student living apartments. There is a dog park on the complex, so it is nice to take my dog there if I don't go for a walk at the Perkins Park. There are a lot of oak trees on the site, so typically, they have pest control treat apartments periodically (when there isn't a pandemic, of course). There is not a route with LSU Tiger Trails (bus system), but there are a few CATS bus stops nearby. The community is gated, but there have been incidents that have occurred here. I still find it is safer than student housing near campus. The park next door has some nature trails and a few other amenities that are great for relaxing. The worst thing about the apartment complex is the management. It can be difficult to deal with the management, but compared to my experiences in student living, they are not the worst management. There are also move in specials when you first sign, but the rent increases the longer you live here, so the value of living in this apartment vs a house, for example, should be reevaluated. The pool and the gym are relatively small, but they are there. The grills are typical park grills, so they are nothing special. I like living here a lot, and the convenience is worth it.

Perfectly acceptable!
Title says it all! Choose it because it's right next to a park and a reasonable commute to LSU--10 to 15 minutes. Not in a very walkable area and bit flimsy, though.
