Stressful environment

I am in my third year living here and I liked it to begin but now it is terrible. The neighbors are so loud and rude and I have had so many issues with my unit and my property that management has done nothing about.
It's inexpensive and large with a parking lot which is tough to come by in this area which is a bonus, but it is just stressful to live there. Would recommend only if you are not actually in the apartment a lot.

Balancing cost, space, location, and parking

I find this apartment to be spacious, with a good size bedroom and a lot of closet space. It's enough for you whether you're by yourself or live here with a partner. It is a 5 minute walk to the center of Coventry Rd (7 minutes if you live on the other side of the complex). This includes proximity to a reasonably-sized grocery store (Marc's). Garages are available for $30/month. Laundry facility is in the basement ($2 wash, $2 dry), and they want to switch from coin to card for payments. The apartment is within an enclosed 8-unit section (2 stories). The cost is advertised as $700, but a mandatory $30 water and sewer fee equals $730 total. Gas, electric, internet, and renter's insurance must be paid separately. After those costs, the total rent will be closer to $830-850. Pets allowed for a monthly fee (ask the office).
No amenities to speak of (no gym, and the office is a few minutes away).
PARKING: you get one space for yourself. However, parking is available along Euclid Heights Blvd, and overnight parking for guests is feasible on Edgehill Rd.

Bare essentials, but poor management

Mornington had what I was looking for - the cheapest apartment that I could get while still being in a safe area and within walking distance from Case.

However, the management is fairly... negligent. I've spoken to other long-term residents, and they say that the previous management was much better about routine building maintenance. Our windows don't seal properly (leading to drafts/heat loss in winter), maintenance requests (even emergency requests) take hours or days to complete, and the parking lot is plowed very late in the day or not at all - if I was planning to drive anywhere, I often couldn't leave for the entire day after a snowstorm.

My main issue, though, is with my upstairs neighbors. The walls are adequately thick, but ceilings, apparently, are not.

That being said, the apartment is very cheap for how good of an area it is located in, pet friendly, has good parking, and common areas are generally kept sanitary. It doesn't have any amenities whatsoever, which probably helps keep the cost low.

Good for the area

All the buildings in cleveland heights are old and come with their share of problems, but here the management actually responds to requests without making you hassle them to listen to you. People are chill and I've had no true issues, which I can't say is true for other properties with crappy landlords who don't care if you're safe or not.

Heights apt - avoid

The apartment unit itself is pretty nice, however the management is awful. It is very hard to get ahold of the local

Great arrangement for the price

My parents help me to afford to live near campus. I do work while in school and could probably afford this rental on my own as long as I was very careful with budgeting. My apartment has the perfect amount of room for me. I am within walking distance of school and just a 1 minute walk from the Coventry village area. My apartment is quiet and usually completely empty (I think I live next to a bunch of night nurses and young doctors). Even though I live in Euclid Heights Boulevard I have no problem with traffic noise. I do wish I had a more convenient bus to get to campus but the shuttle and the mayfield busses are sufficient. My biggest frustration with my apartment is the laundry situation. $3.00 in quarters per load is ridiculous. Each machine must pay itself off in like a month!
