Overall rating 7.8/10, based on 8 renter reviews Write a review
Great value, good service.
Older building. Walk-up, with 4 floors total. Secure, with parking available (for extra fee). There is free parking in the public lot on the intersection of Kenilworth and Overlook, but space is limited. Building management is very responsive, and maintenance requests are followed up with regularly. Cleaning crew comes by to clean the hallways and stairs every Saturday morning. Laundry is in the basement, and the recharging station for laundry cards is located in a separate building (5 minute walk away). Quiet neighborhood, with quiet and respectful neighbors. Very residential area, and have not had problems with crime. Internet is with Spectrum only (they start you at $50/month, and increase about $10/month every year). Gas and electricity together are usually no more than $50 per month. Water and garbage services are included, but there is no recycling or compost. Overall, great value and good responsive service.

Good management, good location for med students
Chose this place because it had good reviews about the management, which was important to me. Easy online portal for paying rent and making maintenance requests. They are very responsive and quick. Location is pretty convenient. 10-min bike ride to HEC, and 10 - 15 min walk to Coventry (which has a budget friendly grocery store, Marc's) and to Cedar Fairmount (which also has a grocery store, Dave's). There is a 9 bus that takes about 15 - 20 minutes to get to the HEC door-to-door. The cemetery nearby is open during the day and is huge and good for runs and walks. It's a pretty heavily populated med student area as well, so it's nice to run into classmates etc. on walks outside.

Well maintained
Well maintained, but there's no denying it's an old building. Thin walls and creaky floors. The leasing company has always been very responsive to issues - usually whatever I ask for is done that day, or the next day at the latest. Price is reasonable for a 1br within walking distance of Case, and the covered parking is very nice.

Great for Living Alone and Easy Campus Access
I have no major complaints about living at Mapleview. The property manager, Barbara, is an amazing and kind woman and always looking out for the students living in her apartments in the area. So if you are looking for a management company in the area that is on top of everything and welcoming, Capital Properties Management is great. They have two or three more properties on the same street as well. My apartment is huge for a one bedroom (didn't even have enough furniture to fill it), so I have plenty of space to have my kitten and not feel too boxed in by a one bedroom. The place is also relatively close to CWRU, so, if you don't mind walking to school, getting there is easy (plus good exercise!)
Downsides - I don't have a dishwasher or garbage disposal. These aren't things you really need as one person living alone but are things I definitely took for granted before living here. The washer and dryer are in the building right next door so it can be frustrating to have to walk up and down stairs to the building next door just to do laundry, but very few buildings in the area have washers and dryers in the apartment let alone in the building. There is also no air conditioning, but again most apartment buildings in the area have no air conditioning.
Overall, though, my apartment has served me well. It's clean and large, and I have felt very safe in the area. Besides heating and cooling fluctuations because there's no air conditioning and heating is from radiators and besides not having a dishwasher or garbage disposal, I would live here again.

Quite reasonable, and with a great management company
An old, but very well maintained building. I probably have the smallest one-bedroom apartment in the complex, but I live by myself so I don't need all that much space. Its about a 15 minute walk to the medical school building, and about a 20 minute walk to the campus gym (Veale) or the student union (Thwing). It is also about a 2 minute walk from a shuttle stop for when it is cold outside. The CWRU shuttles are notoriously unreliable, so I try not to depend on them, but that can be a nice option when its cold. A smallish gym is included in the price of the rent. A pretty good amount of storage space given the size of the apartment.
Overall, I've been very pleased with the quality of my apartment. Probably the best thing about the place is that the management company has been extremely reliable. Every time I've called about an issue they've taken care of it that day, or first thing the next day. Barbara, who manages this property, is a no-nonsense woman who really watches out for her residents.

Pretty good
Quick maintenance. Spacious place. Gym is off-site though, and packages get lost.

Great deal for one bedroom
Newly renovated kitchen. Have a dining room and living room even though it's one bedroom. Not walking distance from restaurants and it is a three minutes walk to my parking spot. Reasonably close to school. Very responsive management company.
